    im paying for this.

  3. Already pay £95 per month for Sky (£1,140) per year and there is no chance of me paying another penny for any PPV regardless of who is fighting.

It all adds up when you include multiroom, sports/movies/HD/ESPN/Boxnation.

Actually thinking of telling them to stick it all if there is another increase in subscription to fund the gross Premiership Football Sky Contract of which pays over £6m per premiership match to fund £50k to £250k wages per week footballers.

Complained to Sky this week over the high subscription costs, Froch v Kessler PPV and the poor cards by Eddie Hearn particularly the cartoon prizefighter tournaments.

A total boycott of PPVs is required or even Carl Frampton's first attempt at a world title will be PPV.

Not a chance, although it will be a great fight i pay enough, sky/boxnation and i think its a joke how hearn thinks he can just bring back pay per view when it suits his wallet. I wouldnt pay it out of principle

It isn't a case of being able to afford it or not, it's a case of not supporting something that is totally unacceptable in these times. I think that by paying for this, people are opening the flood gates to being charged for future events, when we already pay for Sky, ESPN, BoxNation etc....

A boycott is what is required. I'm not paying £15 so Kessler and Froch can earn £1m instead of £500k. Besides, Kessler is on the slide and Froch will beat him easily.

Four mates coming over, split between us it is about the cost of a pint. Could go to the pub and watch it but I will spend a hell of a lot more.

    They are - we're in a recession.

I can, but I won't give Sky a penny of my money if I can avoid it.

    It really isn't.

I pay 35 quid a month for sky. Got a special deal with them for entertainment extra and sports. Can't see how you pay 95 quid a month? Ridiculous money to be spending on tv.

    Of course I will.

Much rather buy PPV, than have the hell of Closed Circuit.

The big fights are going to cost the fan, as boxing lacks the mainstream support it once had.

And anyone around pre SKY who used to watch Closed Circuit, I am sure have their own hellish story (no signal, a 22" TV for 300 people to watch, no sound, no beer, too much beer...). Some pubs will buy the PPV, so that is still an option for those who like that sort of thing.

As for cost, well get four mates over, and you are paying £3; a Pint costs more than that, now a days...

  13. When you add on multiroom, ESPN and Boxnation on top of your package = £95 per month.

Enough is enough and Eddie Hearn can stick all future PPVs right up his crack

No, I just don't think a one off sporting event like that can be justifiable to be on PPV. How many sports have to pay extra to see the best compete It's a complete joke in my opinion.

In the days of Ali, or Leonard-Duran-Hearns-Hagler, fair enough ppv may well have been ok but these days, there isn't the genuine superfights to pull it off.

I paid for the first fight on Primetime and it was one of the best fights I've ever seen with no undercard, so I'll have no problem paying for the rematch with a guaranteed stacked undercard.
