Will you still consider Mosley an "Old & Shot" Fighter if he beats another TOP 10...

How many times does this **** need to be said? The fact Shane is #3 at 147 is an insult to the division, not a compliment to Shane.

It's a bunch of B/C level guys once you get past Manny and Floyd.

What if he beats down Zab Judah in a come back? That would be more satisfying

Obviously he's past his best, but none of those fighters on the list are elite fighters. I don't think he's as shot as the great Roy Jones, but he might be getting closer to that deal where he'll look like his younger self against average or good opposition, but where he can't win on the world stage anymore. I think IMO Mosley loses to Pacquiao, Berto, Martinez, and Williams at this point, but he will make it extremely difficult for any of them for the first 2-3 rounds. So yeah, he can definitely compete with the best, I just don't think he has it anymore to win or beat the best. Just like his buddy Oscar.

    Mosley IS old...

But he is NOT shot, imo.

Hes simply a very good, older fighter... who i think will still be capable of beating top fighters.

If he rematches Cotto and beats him, I think that would shut most the haters up.

I gave credit to Floyd for fighting the best guy at 147 available to him (in other threads) but it doesn't mean I have to be on his dick after that performance.

Shot gets thrown around WAYYYY too much. Shane Mosley I do not think is shot at all. Has he declined? Sure, but he's been in decline since the first Forrest fight and still managed to beat some damn good fighters, some easily. So at 38, Shane Molsey is not shot, he just had declined enough that he was soundly dominated by PBF.

If he were to fight Berto and gets handled I would say he is shot and time to retire.

This was his best option, no one denies this, but why act like Shane isn't over the hill, when he has been in decline since 05 and will be 39 the next time he steps in the ring. As far as all these other guys at 147 go, after PBF and Pac, they all suck, Berto may develop into an A-class fighter 1 day but he struggled mightily with Collazo and was nearly KTFO by Cosme Rivera, great Athlete but far from being great fighter.

old - definitely, 38 is not considered "young" at this sport.

shot - yes, but not as shot as most people wanted to say he is. let's face it, at 38, and been with a lot of wars, you can't deny that "age" and "wear and tear" has been showing the past few years. the first thing that most aging boxers lose is their feet, then a stamina. and shane is IMO in that phase. he hasn't lost his power and handspeed yet so he can still can still bang with the likes of margarito who's there to be hit and still look good in doing so.

it's unfair to discredit his win against mosley just because mosley is old. the way i see it, he handled mosley that night very well and it wouldn't have mattered if that was a prime mosley (it would have been closer), pbf would still have won a UD.

Please stop this people. 38 - 39 is old for a welterweight . Im not sure Mayweather will be fighting at 39. I dont think he will, because he will be OOLD .

I dont think Mosley can beat any fighter in the top 5. If he fights how he fought Mayweather , a bigger puncher who is more agressive AND WILL THROW MORE THAN TWO PUNCHES AT ATIME , I am afraid ; he will get hurt badly and be stopped.

Most on here refuse to accept that reality, I've never seen a WW in his late 30s that wasn't old.
