He would have to turn the Light Welterweight Division upside down, become the undisputed champion, and defend his belts a few times to be a shoe in for the Hall of Fame. Fighting at Welterweight messed up his chances, but maybe he can rebound.

Uh, Baldomir beat him. While he was undisputed. Are you really going to say that because Baldomir didn't pay all his sanctioning fees, he wasn't undisputed?

I think he's on the cusp. His biggest win is over Spinks. Yesm, for the WW title, but still. At that time, the title was chaning hands like a hot potatoe. And not necessarily amongs dominant WW's either. I think this stint at 140 will be the decider.

In this day and age of 5 belts in a division, the term "Multiple titlist" doesn't carry the weight it once did. I don't think Mayorga is HOF bound to be honest. Both he and Judah have weak resumes. Yeah, they beat some top contenders, but did squat as champs.

If Gatti gets in, Judah more than deserves to get in.

    huh?

    People are calling him borderline??????

You bring up threads on Cotto, Fernando Vargas, ect, getting into the hall and its almost no all around.... you bring up ZAB and its borderline?

    am i missing something here?

Exactly what has zab done that puts him in the HOF? He has one, maybe two upper tier wins.....

    and big losses to

    Cotto
    Zoo
    Mayweather

now.... those are obviously acceptable losses

    Baldomir
    Clottey

    are not

Unless he goes on to beat Bradley, Alexander, and eather Khan/Ortiz/ or Maidana

I dont even see how hes close to getting in.

That being said the 'standards', if there are any, seem to change with every thread. I dont care if he gets in or not.... but there should at least be a set criteria.

You have to ask yourself - if Zab Judah gets in, who doesn't???

The Hall would be swelled to an insane size with every short-term alphabet titleist with one or two decent wins making the cut.

I don't want to live in a world where Carlos Baldomir is in a Hall of anything.

I'm with you man. But two wins over each of Winky and Andrew Lewis is still about three more good wins than Zab Judah has on his resume.

    *Fixed. :D

Forrest alone is better then anything Judah has done. Lewis, while seen as a top WW at the time, is closer to some of Zab's best wins. Mainly at 140 though.

He can get in if he pays admission like everyone else.

If he wins another belt at 140 ideally against the No.1 ranked fighter in the division at the time. He would be a 3-time JWW champion and undisputed WW champion. Then you can make a case for him for a place in the HOF sometime in the future.

Accomplishments, Resume, Longevity, Skills etc. are all taken into account when you consider if a fighter is HOF worthy.

There are fighters with weak resumes in the HOF.
