    Not quite as fast is an understatement. He had neither his general movement speed or his handspeed. I take Rock over the full course prime for prime.

    Willard looked "better" against Moran mostly because Moran was nowhere near as good as Dempsey.
    Dempsey didn't really give Willard a chance to show anything.

    Willard was unimpressive against Moran too, and horribly out of shape. He was 259 or 260 pounds for the Moran fight, I think. Fat.
    He managed to get to 245 for Dempsey.
    He was 237 against Johnson, I think.

    The best Willard BY FAR on film is against Jack Johnson.
    Willard was a decent boxer for such a big guy, he used his reach pretty well and had a good uppercut. But he wasn't too good against Moran, in all fairness. John L. Sullivan even said he thought Moran would have won a decision, and strongly criticized Willard and Moran for being in bad condition.
