If he wins would be interesting to see Reid against a Paul Smith or Kenny Anderson.

I think it's a winnable fight for Reid even at this late stage of his career. Not sure what it gets him in the grand scheme of things apart from a couple of paydays defending his new bauble...

Gare is a good 12 round fighter. Lost 15 (against decent opposition) but never been stopped. He only has an 11% KO rate but I can't see Reid lasting 12 rounds at this stage. I think, despite Gare's KO rate, that Robin gets stopped in this one. Probably rounds 6-8 and probably from exhaustion rather than anything Gare does.

The Sven Ottke defeat still pisses me off to this day.

Hope Reid wins, he deserves some more paydays after an impressive career that didn't bring the money he should have got.

Me too, all this talk of robberies these days, this one takes some beating.

Reid was one of the most underrated British fighters of his generation. He gave Calzaghe hell, clearly beat Ottke and gave us some great fights. To be fair, he keeps himself in great shape and still looks fantastic for his age I say Best of luck to him.

good luck to him. but he has to be rejuvenated. he has been...not shot but on the steady decline since just walking straight into lacy. then there was that really scrappy win over brinkley. then froch just bombing him out.

he is finished as a full time competitor. but thats not an insult. he might still have enough in the tank to go 12. and possibly box out cagey him, reids experience at supermiddle is probably the most vast in the division who is still active

Why? He blatantly hit the poor Sven right in the face! Where would the world go to if we are going to allow crap like that?!? :bart

The entire card was called off at the start of the month. Not sure why it's still up on Boxrec.
