Will be against filipino Jun Paderna for the jnr lightweight Ibf pan pacific title on Oct 20. It's an undercard bout on the Darchinyan show.

This is Paderna's preferred weight and he will have a solid preparation for the fight.

Definately Kicketts hardest fight to date and I'l even say Paderna is some hope of pulling off a major upset.

Paderna aint no mug thats for sure.
Great fight to be on Fox Sports.
Fox & Angelo Hyder are pulling out the quality shows to close the year.
I have seen a little of Paderna & i predict Kickett will win on points, but dont be surprised if Paderna takes 2 or 3 rounds at least.
It will be hard work for young Willy.
His team are moving him quite nicely.:good

Paderna is a decent opponent and it is a really tough fight for Willie.

I looked at some of Jun's fights and he in 2005 fought a really close fight with Czar Amonsot which he lost MD.

If Willie wins though it will be because he outboxed him i doubt we will see a KO.

Paderna actually dropped Amonsot with a right hand in that fight. He's a tough little dude with a bit of finesse about him.

Don't take too much notice of the pts loss he had against Coterill. The guy only had two weeks training, it was at lightweight, and although he was almost spent after the first rd he had Cotrill hanging on for dear life a few times in the fight. He just basically ran out of steam very early.

I'm no too sure whether Kickett eased off the gas a little against Dulog when they fought but IMO he looked a little one paced. Sure, the guy is a very good talent with fast hands and a good skill set but Paderna is a different class of fighter than Dulog so I think this one will be a good contest and I think we will get to see how Kickett takes a shot which will be interesting.

Would like to see Kickett face Lenny Zappavigna in the next 6 months to a year.
That would be 1 awesome match for both the prospects.

I think you should check out Lenny Zappavigna mate.
To me he is our best prospect at this stage with 12 fights or less.:good
Great power thats suited to the pro ranks, & was a Commonwealth Games medallist.
Has been down a couple of times in his career, but has recovered & stopped his opponents.:thumbsup
