    Round 1

Morales Jr circles and works the jab pretty well; Palomares seems content wait for openings and then try to fill them with single power punches. He does this about a half dozen times, making visible contact a few times. But Morales Jr is much busier and strings together two or three very long combinations to the head plus a couple of sharp right hands to take the frame.

    10-9 Morales Jr.

A sloppy round of action with Morales landing the more solid shots.

Round 2: Palomares ups the volume and does land some decent punches; when Morales elects to trade it's quite competitive, but Morales outboxes Palomares in the last thirty seconds and lands some nice punches to shade the second.

Morales landing the cleaner hard punches. Palomares landing the dirty ugly inside punches.

Wondering if Palomares knows that defence is legal in boxing. Hell of a chin though.

Thought Palomares did well to force Morales into a pitched battle in the third, and also thought his harder punches earned him the frame. That said, Morales boxed more in the fourth and pretty clearly took the round with some precise counter rights.

    39-37 Morales Jr.
