The scoring in this thread was poor. The judges scores reflected how close this fight actually was. Zepeda has very limited skills and power. He has volume and pressure. At least Farmer landed some clean hard punches. Zepeda is a more orthodox Joe Calzaghe.

Zepeda closed live betting at -20000.

You don’t ever see scores that close when that’s the case. Ever.

A hyped Mexican fighter on a Golden Boy show. Maybe DLH forgot to pay the judges.

At best for Farmer, it was 118-110 Zepeda.

I thought maybe Zepeda collected a couple of 10-8 rounds in the early going, then these cards were read. Farmer's 2nd half was better than the 1st, but that's about it, he got battered for most of the fight anyway. Ridiculous scoring.

I only caught a bit of it. I tuned in briefly during one of the mid rounds and Zepeda was all over Farmer, had him hurt, and seemingly in the verge of getting him out of there because Farmer looked like he was close to being finished. Then I tuned back in for a few of the later rounds and it looked much more competitive albeit with Zepeda still getting the better of it. However, in the final round Farmer appeared to drop him and had him hurt a bit.

I scored it 116-112 Zepeda and I thought I was being a little generous to Farmer. 114-114?!?!? Crazy

Seems like farmers been around forever .. for a 35 year old SFW to still be competing (& competing well) against the pressure and attrition of someone like Zepeda is impressive

I just watched the highlights of the Zepeda-Farner fight. If Zepeda runs into a real slugger he is not going to make it out on his feet. He gets hit flush way too often. He is a buzzsaw, that's for sure, but he has to improve his defense. Zepeda clearly won this fight going away, though.

The Ivan Redkach fight back in 2016 was his breakout performance. After that people started paying attention to him.
Whats crazy is that he pretty much retired for 3 years while at his physical prime.
