Well PW, the darlin of many, was exposed on his first fight with Quintana....Quintana exposed PW weakness..a clear blueprint..second fight Quintana forgot what got him to run circles around PW and lost...Srgio Martinez..should have won the first fight, he took it like a man, he understood PW weakness form the south side.and capitalized on it...on the second fight...power waht Quintana lacked...Martinez added to the equation..and it was domination....PW needs to learn how to fight againt southpaws, that much is clear
i could never understand the hype around williams, he has never impressed me. the biggest thing he had going for him was his height and reach. even the announcers last night were playing him up. lets see if he has a problem getting fights now.
I agree...I never saw his hype...Margarito, could have beat him if he fought the frist half of their fight
i am not trying to disrespect the man but i just dont see what everybody seen in him as a fighter, seems like a nice guy though.
Williams was hurt at the end of the Margo fight. If Margo started not even from the begining but lets say from the 4th round he was going to KO him late
i guess margarito made a conscious effort not to begin fighting until the 6th round paul williams got tired....that's when marg started catching him paul won 1-5 marg 6-11, paul won 12 fight over
he couldn't fight in the first half because he wasn't getting tattooed heavily by a young fresh determined paul williams
Paul is a southpaw and has no defense, but being southpaw helped him. When he fought southpaws he didn't have that and got caught with every punch his opponent threw, (not like he didn't get hit by orthodox fighters anyway).
poor man fights a more intresting style,but not a safe one,for his hieght and reach he should use it to his advantage and have kept people on the end of his reach and stand up straighter.
