I don't give a damn about the bs behind the fight or the weight or anything. I want to see it. This would be a good fight. We never seen Pavlik in aganist anything close to Williams. Lets get this fight signed.

I'm looking forward to hearing "Ok Kelly you're doing good...beautiful. I just need you to DOUBLE THE JAB KELLY...DOUBLE THE ****ING JAB!?!?!" after every round. LMAO

no probably about it. paul williams should not be fighting at mw. and if he is, he needs to fight someone w/ winky-esque power.

edison miranda threw 100 punches at round a kelly. many landed flush. the type of shots that broke aa's jaw. he eventually found himself in the ropes looking up. the same thing would happen to williams if kelly can get to 160 and be healthy.

if you rewatch the martinez ko of williams, you can see just how god awful williams telegraphs his approach and how wide open he left himself. martinez was able to crow hop and throw that puch from his ass. even kelly pavlik could have timed a shot w/ the amount of space williams gave. that **** works at lower weights for paul but he shouldnt be doing it at mw. he's gonna get hurt.

i really like williams and would love to see him at 154 fighting the cottos and bertos of the world.

Both guys are just one good win away from reclaiming a place as one of the biggest "names" in boxing.

Neither guy needs the other. Sorry, but this fight passed its expiration date last spring when Goosen demanded a 50/50 co-promotion. Goosen had to know his demand would kill the fight. That demand was the only reason Pavlik fought Martinez.

If it were up to me, Team Pavlik would do whatever they need to do in order to secure a fight with Robert Stieglitz. Kelly is the highest ranking WBO contender who is not involved with the S6, so it should not be to hard to force a fight. In addition, it is probably harder to miss Stieglitz with a 1-2 or a 3-2 than it is to hit him with one. It's a very winnable fight for KP.

Williams needs to settle in at 154 and get to work. I've said that all along. PDub belongs at 154. I think he could make some good fights and a boat load of cash in that division.

I think there's better short and long term opportunity for PTP moving down to 54.

    160 has turned into a ghost-town.

Conversely, Pav ought to move to 68 to seek career rejuvenation.

Who do you see him beating at 154 though.
    Angulo
    Kirkland
    Lara
    Cintron
    Dzinzurik
    Margarito
    Cotto
    Martisoryan
    Foreman

Really out of that list i only see him beating Foreman and Possibly Cotto.

I'd take Williams to beat Foreman, Margarito, Vanes, Angulo and Cintron. I'd give him a good chance against the other guys at the weight, I don't think anyone there is a better than 60/40 favourite.

I don't think Margo is the same fighter he used to be, and I don't think he will ever be as good at 154 as he was at 147.

Angulo is a dangerous puncher, but that's about all he is. He really does not have many tools.

I was very high on Vanes for awhile, but the Ouma fight "exposed" him. I rarely use the term "exposed," but it's appropriate here. He'd probably be a sitting duck for PDub's "spray and pray" style.

When it comes to falling apart under pressure, Cintron is worse than Zab Judah, and he is not the devestaing puncher at 154 that he was at 147.

    That's my 2 cents worth.

You gota worry more about pavlik than williams, williams has a lot more to him fight wise than pavlik i think, williams has never looked totally lost in a boxing ring, pavlik complaining to his corner that he cant get his punches off again against martinez was a bit sad
