Williams is a bad style matchup for Mosley and Cotto...Cintron/Williams would be a tight one until the end, and i don't see that one going the distance...
He stinks out the joint by outlanding his opponent. Interesting. Lets see....lets say PBF DID run (he didn't, but if I say he didn't you'll just say he did, so this is easier). Shouldn't Castillo have adjusted to this and cut off the ring? Uh huh....yah. Noticed you didn't address how he has no heart when he fought with those ailments in the ring in the first fight. I assume you think Castillo has a ton of heart?
Williams has the tools to beat anyone at 147, but his style is all wrong to beat certain fighters. The one dimensional fighters will have problems with Williams, that would include Cotto. As far as Margo goes, well capfund i have to say that it was a pretty easy fight to predict as many did so. It was the Floyd bashers that tried to will Margo to greatness, his in ring status wasnt nearly what his out of ring hype would lead you to think, all due to the fact that he was suppose to be the Mayweather-stopper. Fights with the very average Santos his near lost to Clottey would have told us that well maybe this guys isnt what he is being hyped to be. Or the fact that he went 10 really tough rounds with Antonio Diaz two years after Shane toyed with him and knocked him down what seems like every round and stopped him in six would say that maybe he isnt on that level. No the evidence was there that maybe Tony was mostly overrated, but anyone that said it was labeled a Floyd nuthugger.
boxing has it wrong by rewarding running with wins. . . see Hops shiitty "win" over Winky. Runners should not have an advantage.
Guys who are simply stronger or are weight draining to make weight when they belong a weight class up should not have an advantage either. You don't outland your opponent if you are not in range to hit him. Thats physics. If he is in range to hit you, you are in range to hit him. Defense is part of the scoring system. And it should be....entertainment has nothing to do with winning. And you know what, I simply don't agree with you that PBF runs. Spinks is a runner. They fight nothing alike. And considering that you only post negative about him, its impossible to have a cordial conversation with you about him.
It's better than you "PBF runs" in every thread. How is he outlanding his opponents if he is always running out of their range? Does he teleport in? Seriously....explain it.
Hey Bazooka, don't BS. I won't fall for it. Merchant notoriously hates PBF and never kisses his ass. So thats not true at all. Answer the question.
How in the **** can you form an opinion from the Clottey or Santos fight? Those are two COMPLETELY different fighters than Williams. Sounds like it was easy to predict because you just wanted Margo to win because he was "limited." Hudson, analyze Margo's style. "Limited." Okay............
I don't need to confirm anything by being there. You and I alike, as well as all others here take reports from people in the boxing business as fact as they certainly are closer to the story than we are. You are taking the Margarito offer to PBF of 8 million as fact, yet you were never at a negotiatiing table. So that is a stupid argument. If Castillo is considered to have heart by you and PBF isn't, explain to me why he was unable to continue with an injury in the Hatton fight that PBF was able to continue with? Your not liking PBF doesn't equate to his not having heart or balls. Anyone steps in that ring has those things. PBF has fought with injuries in a sport where it's more dangerous than ever to do so. That's heart. Castillo could not cut off the ring because PBF had better footwork than he did. He was quicker and decided to use this to his advantage. You not liking the style certainly doesn't disqualify it's use. Your last point has the least merit. Where in this conversation has the point that PBF believes he is the greatest of all time come up? Since it hasn't, why would I rag on him for it in this thread? You should not presume to know anyones position on anything. I have stated a dozen times that PBF isn't even in my top 30 all time much less the greatest ever. And I have also said it was very disrespectful of him to proclaim himself so....nor do I think he is capable of being the greatest of all time. You mistake me for a PBF fan.....when in reality I just take issue with extremists on either side of the equation. You happen to be one.
its called pitter pat, pot shot, one punch at a time and run. . . he's a boring boxer, thats why he needs his opponants to be the draw. . . cause he refuses to take the risks needed to become a draw himself.
