No, Pavlik would knock him out if he came in with the same gameplan of simply trying to outland Pav, Pwilly needs to work on a little head movement, he's a sitting duck for a power right hand. There was that interview of him before the Martinez fight where he was talking about him being the greatest ever, better than Hearns etc and that he didnt care what any opponent brought, he'd have too much for them, well u cant have that attitude, and it nearly cost him against Martinez. You need a gameplan, and if he brought that,he'd beat seven shades of **** out of Kell.
Oh, he did not say he was the "greatest ever", he's not a braggart like Floyd. You could tell he was sort of joking when he said he would beat Hearns, he was just showing some self-confidence. Would you rather a fighter said "ugh I suck"? Everybody knows PWilly is one of the nicest, most humble, down-to-earth guys in the game.
He's a cool guy and all, i really like him, i'm a massive fan. and have been a massive fan since i first saw him against Sharmbe, but having seen the interview, and then the fight against Martinez, it seemed obvious he'd not done his homework on martinez, and was getting tagged way too much, and to me personally seemed like he'd gone in with the attitude that he doesnt give a fck who he's in with, he's only gonna fight his own fight, and not care what the other guy brings and he'd win, and in a lot fo ppl's eyes he was lucky to pull off the win. I personally ahd it a draw.
Williams very well could get tagged with a big right hand, the way he leans in. Wouldn't surprise me to actually see Pavlik stop Williams.
Paul Williams gets hit...a lot. He can still win, he's obviously an impressive talent, but he's more suited for Pavlik than Martinez is.
Well said. Williams couldn't even slip Margarito's shots. I don't really like his chances against people who can bang, particularly when they're bigger than him.
