Fights aren't fought on paper, they are fought in the ring. Abraham will smash Williams and Pavlik. It's only a matter of time. :hi:

Very true. I'm excited by Williams, but lets not jump the gun yet.

AA record is not exceptionally strong I concede that but it is clear to see that he is to strong and powerful for a skinny weakling like Williams. AA by brutal KO.

I'm with Scar on this one.

Williams had a tremendous showing last night, and he might well prove otherwise in the near future, but for now...

    1. Pavlik
    2. Abraham

    It's that simple.

Relax guys...Williams didn't beat an undefeated fighter last night...he didn't even beat an active fighter last night.

Abraham has accomplished a lot more than Paul Williams at 160.

    This thread is silly.

Not sure if you have been dead the past few years or was born when Pavlik beat Miranda.

Pavlik's best wins as a middleweight:

    Taylor x2
    Miranda

Abraham's best win as a middleweight:

    Miranda x2
    Ayala
Ikeke(IBF Champion, P4P fighter back in the day with Abraham being an underdog)
    Eastman

Abraham has tried to get a fight with Sturm numerous times but always declined till the last attempt which was public and clear. Now he's trying to get a fight with Pavlik which SEEMS to be going well.

To make it short, Abraham has been fighting mandatories for a long time now.

It's not his problem that he's being ducked. He beat Miranda twice and convincingly. If Pavlik or Sturm step up we'll see his true potential. As for Paul he's very good but the hype after the Winky match is too much for me.

Sauerland low balled Winky by offering him about half of what he had already turned down for a Pavlik fight. Gee -- I wonder why Sauerland would low ball winky?

Ask yourself a couple questions Scar. What would Winky Wright do to LuJaun Simon? What has Arthur done at 160 in the last two years that is better than a near shut out against Winky?

Abraham's rematch with Miranda was at 166, not 160. Ikeke:patsch He was not the IBF titlist. They fought for a title Taylor vacated. The guy never did **** before or after his AA fight. Ayala was nothing more than a philly club fighter; a guy the currently faded Winky would shut out.

So was Pavlik's rematch with Taylor,at 166 also.
Hamdan,Gevor,Jantuah are very good wins.Eastman very early in his career.Decent opponents along the way. It's laughable to say he hasn't faced anyone.

When the punisher beats a true 160 lb ranked fighter, then maybe he should be considered to be a top middleweight. This thread is silly. He beat a 37 year old inactive junior middleweight. Who has Wink beaten at 160 to suggest that he is the "measuring stick" at middleweight

that's a good point because Winky is better than anyone AA has beat...but i feel like AA will beat Pavlik which will make him the top middle...that should set up a PW/AA fight...
