Williams is in a bidding war with Pavlik

If Pavlik loses to Martinez he will instantly be demoted to "gate keeper" status!

 

Actually, Williams-Martinez was not in the same venue as Pavlik-Taylor. It sold so little tickets (about 600) that they had to move it to the Ballroom and they still couldn't sell it out.

Kelly brings more to the table as far as revenue. I don't think anyone can honestly deny that. Williams just doesn't seem to have a fan base.

In the same breath though you have to admit that the synergy of these two guys will create more money than both alone.

I still say Pavlik will KO him.

 

Martinez vs williams rematch has to happen because it was a war and it was a disputable outcome, the only thing pavlik brings is belts

 

I think they proved that they are about equal and they would end up about the same at the mercy of the judges. Martinez MIGHT fare a little better with a full training camp. He wasn't in training when he got the call last time was he?

 

No I don't think he was the late rounds he was fighting on heart, the match was close enough that it should happen again I really dont know what that one judge was watching.

 

I think people would flock to a Pavlik- Williams fight. I wish it would just happen already. Regardless of whose fault it is that it didn't happen yet. It's ridiculous.....now they're both bidding against each other to fight the same guy.....a guy that PW already fought. Martinez isn't a draw. Both guys need this fight...... WTF?

Martinez ask Dibella to get him a fight with Pavlik way back last summer. At the time HBO gave Pavlik a list of four opponents they would approve. Wright, Martinez, Balszay, and Sturm. The list really made little sense. Balszay was busy with Stieglitz. The offer for a Sturm fight was an insult to both fighters. Winky was fresh off a loss to Williams. Martinez did not have anything close to the momentum he has now. Pavlik threw the list away, and called out Williams.

Look at the names that Pavlik has fought in the past two years I mean who are they really? To charge people to watch that is Ingnorant talk it should be on verus or something

 

I dont see how you can make an excuse for Pavilk. The man pulls out of a fight then fights some bum two weeks later. Paul was ready to fight this man twice so who is really scared of who actions speak louder than words

 

Williams training camp although a little longer than Martinez was designed to fight a slow, one dimensional pressure fighter who also is an orthodox fighter! He then had to change his camp to fight a boxer with skill, speed and movement who is a southpaw!

Don't really see the problem here, Williams should rematch Martinez, then fight Kelly. Pavliks done nothing for 2 years, in his fights with Taylor it was Taylor that was the draw not Kelly.
