All the talk about Williams being willing to fight everyone from 147-168, but now he is forcing Martinez to come up from 154 so there fight is at middleweight.

Dont see the problem, he was preparing for an early december fight at 160. Its November of course he wont go down to 154.

He always bitches about making 147 and being ducked and ****.

He weighs in at 157 and people say he needs t oeat to get there and now he says he can't make 154?Please.
It's just gonna take away fro his eventual win.

Read on another forum it was Martinez's idea as he took the fight at short notice....(his title wont be on the line)
Or maybe Williams is adjusted to the weight he was due to fight KP at.

Who knows,im sure all will be revealed,at least their fighting I suppose.

Well we dont know how much he's weighing now. Im not gonna moan at someone not coming down in weight on a months notice without knowing the facts.

Exactly,Im sure there will be a legitimate reason behind it and more than certain it wont be Williams trying to gain an advantage,im sure he'd rather fight for the belt.

I actually thought this was a Danny Williams thread at first.

It is still a very good fight at short notice.

Me neither,I think it's a very good fight.

But I'm sick of the people calling hima WW and stuff when he can't even cut a few lbs(George Petersen not long ago said Paul is 158 lbs).

Both were training for fights at 160 in December anyway so it's a logical move. By all accounts, PW wanted to fight for the green and gold strap at 154, but Martinez is set on making 160 in December. Strap or not, it's still a brilliant fight, IMO:deal.
