I'll give it to Baldomir - he earned his belts - but the top 6 Welterweights of today would have handled Baldomir just like Floyd did - maybe worse. I would have appreciated Floyd's career more had he gone for the big fights against the best in the 147 pound division, but that's a different story.

 

The entire quote summed up the majority of Floyd's career. He was under the impression if he says he is the best enough times it must be true. He should have fought the who's who of 147 considering he said he was better than Ali and Robinson. I dunno - just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I can garuntee Margarito would have fought Floyd regardless of the circumstances as long as it was at 147. Floyd did well to get at 147 but he didn't fight anybody there. He was saying he was the best Welterweight in the world, but he never proved it. Look, I know he is your favourite fighter, but even when your relatives say stupid **** you have to say ...what the hell?

 

He was the best at 147, not weighing in at 147 and the next night weighing in at 170lbs. And Margarito wouldnt have a chance if they weighed in on fight night, he'd get KO'd
