How do you think therematch will play out, if Williams gets by Cintron?
Williams had alot of success with the jab to the head when he threw it but kept getting drawn back to bunch punchin' and taking shots, then Martinez was starting to tag him with early with the right hook then in the middle- late rounds the lead left to the body followed by the RH. I'm sure Martinez will come into the rematch with pretty much the same fight plan but with more lead lefts RHs but i think Williams will need to start throwing the jab n straight rights ALOT more from the 1st round then i think there will be more of a clear winner. Could be wrong tho:huh

Im actually wary of this fight, if they have another bloody war with Martinez winning, they will wind up having a third, and many times fighters arent the same after a hard trilogy.

That being said, that is the sport we love and the harsh reality..... it just makes me a little wary is all.

If the rematch happens, im not quite sure who wins.... i think it will simply look a lot like the first.

Williams fixes his ****ing bad habits from his last fight and takes this one by a decision. I don't think he took Martinez seriously prior to the bout in the last fight. He seemed surprised and frustrated in between rounds on his stool.

ye Williams and George Peterson definitely underestimated Martinez, inbetween rounds Peterson keept telling PW what he needed to be doing but it was obvious Paul was fixed on brawling with Maravilla and can't afford to do the same thing if a rematch does happen. Hopefully team Williams does come up with a fight plan that doesn't get thrown out the window as soon as Paul gets caught flush, it works on most fighters but Martinez is too good and too fast and will come back with really quick counters

Williams, if he learns to control distance and make proper use of the jab, should be able to win a comfortable UD.
Otherwise I see it going very much like the first one.

Paul takes the rematch easier if he corrects a few errors, he has a lot more room for improvement. He fought that first fight with about the worst possible strategy.

Sergio fought about as well as he could have, with the exception of his stamina.

Neither guy had much time to prepare for the other, and looking at the styles, you have to believe that Paul gains the most from having that "test run" with Martinez.

I think almost anything could happen. It seems like either man could make a few minor changes, and dominate the other if the other didn't also change. Maybe both change things up and we see a barn burner. Maybe neither changes and we see a re-run of the first fight. Who knows?

I'll say neither changes much, and PW gets a slightly more convincing win.

IT seems like the majority are picking PW. WHY?

Martinez showed what he can do with a full training camp for a fighter against Pavlik. Come on there is a reason Pavlik the undisputed MW was the favorite. He is a tough customer for anyone but Martinez showed taht if he comes well prepared he can stick to a plan and put a beating on anyone.

The problem in the PW fight for Martinez was his stamina. He did not show that problem against Pavlik and he was fighting going backwards the whole time being stalked by a big puncher. With PW he was engaging PW and not retreating as much.
I think he will study the Quintana fight and do what Quintana did only better. He is going to give him the angles that PW can not deal with and beat him decisively. Actually im going to go out and say it.

    Martinez by late round TKO.
