Man, I like both fighters, it's hard to just root for one guy. I'm just hoping for a good clean fight, not tainted with headbutts or lowblows. I'm giving the edge to williams in winning the fight.

let me see...the most feared fighter right now, very entertaining, willing to fight anyone in multible weight classes...to put it simply he brings it and is good for boxing plus he's a nice kid who's been messed about lately by mr staph and other politrix.

Whatever happened to liking a fighter because he's better? :-( Maybe a Martinez win will put him in the right direction to popularity.

I also don't get why you think an easy 5 rd win for KP would be a good thing. If KP wins a that easily it would just show PW went up too high in weight. Plus KP won't go up to 168, he had/has his chance to make those fights but he keeps on taking on bums at 160.

In terms of what's better for boxing a PW win will be better in both situations because he has some star potential and could potentially take on more star fights. Even then he's been stagnating to get good fights so I'm not too excited about that either.

I just care that the best fighter win. Doin't know enough about Martinez to tell who is better, but PW physical advantages make him a tough customer to bet against.

    Get over yourself...

I have honored avatar bets in the past with waaaaay worse avy's than that corney **** you had.

Like I said... You give me the one that we agreed on BEFORE the fight, and I will gladly sport it. Other than that, Tell me how it makes sense to change the terms of a bet AFTER the ****ing bet??? :huh

You made some good points, so let me address them.

First; I've predicted that KP/PW would be a short fight all along. I have not predicted that it would be an easy fight. There is a huge difference. I've heard nothing from the Williams camp that says they plan to fight smart. It all sounds like they plan to come out and declare war. Against KP at 160 that's a recipe for disaster. If/when this fight happens I expect something similar to Hagler/Hearns; not the same skill level, but certainly the same intensity and ferocity.

Williams/Martinez looks like a 60/40 fight to me with PDub as the favorite. Martinez is kind of like a poor man's Calzaghe with the emphasis on poor man's version. A personable black kid from South Carolina, who has a very exciting style, certainly has more star power than a slick boxer from Argentina. Star power is very important to a sport that currenly lacks big stars.

Suppose Martinez wins, and then gets a shot at the champ; what do we get? We get Pavlik chasing a little known fighter around the ring for 10-11 rounds, and not looking very good while he does it. The aftermath for KP would be similar to the aftermath of Taylor/Spinks; nothing but bad press.

Now if PW wins, we get a head on collision between "the most feared fighter in the world," and a guy who hasn't allowed a middleweight to finish on his feet since a 6 rounder in 2004. This fight would probably elevate the satus of both men. That goes back to star power, and what's good for boxing as a whole.

Your talking about way worse yet you cant even sport the avatar. Everyone on the list put it up w/o complaining and they dont act like a dick about it, buy you being a dickhead with an ******* sourgraping and complaining like a 9 year old girl. Anyways I am tired of arguing, like I said I am not collecting anymore. Peace and just stay away from avatar bets, its for people who man up only. :hi:

Williams. Better for boxing if he wins. Can fight from 147-160. Maybe even 168
