The World Boxing Council has finally sorted out the mess in the middleweight division. The winner of Sergio Martinez vs. Paul Williams, set to clash for the WBC middleweight title on November 20, must face the interim-champion Sebastian Zbik in their very next fight. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is the WBC silver champion at 160. If he decides to remain at middleweight, he can press for the next mandatory title shot. If Chavez decides to go back to 154 or turns down the opportunity, then the winner of the final eliminator between David Lemieux and Marco Antonio Rubio would become the next mandatory challenger.

I don't care what the reason is, JJC Jr. has not even begun to ear n a right to fight the winner of Williams-Martinez. Lemieux has done more already than JCC. That kid is a joke living off of daddy's legend.

If Martinez pulls this one out, there should be a part three. If Williams squeaks out another victory, then perhaps he considers unification.

Well at least that turns all of the WBC belts into an official ranking system of sorts. I wouldn't mind seeing either Wiliams or Martinez fight Chavez jr and see how the kid responds.

It's just too bad Kelly Pavlik gave up his right to an immediate rematch.

The WBC have come up with a great idea to make their belt a joke. The winner will vacate it and it will be won by some chump nobody who has no serious right to call himself a champ of anything

Chavez Jr vs Pac at 156 for the WBC middleweight belt at Cowboys stadium.

This is what they are working towards.
