Winky has fought since July 2007, so I figure the layoff will be a factor. No matter how good a fighter is, being out of action for such a period cannot help! Wright is not exactly a young guy, either! Williams is improving with each outing, has many physical advantages over nearly all of his opponent. He has height & reach advantages over Wright & I'd say a hand/foot speed is better! Wright will feel the pace big time in this fight. I think Paul can become the first to stop Wright.
No,he will decision him but won't stop him.Probably won't even come close to it. Winky has an excellent defense and also a good chin in case some might get threw. It's at MW and Williams ain't that much of a big puncher also.If Winky is o his game Williams might be in for a tough one.
Wright is too sounds defensively and has to good a chin too get knocked out, I think it will be awide points decision in favour of Williams! P.S I cant believe Winky didn't get stopped against Vasquez all those years ago!
winky doesn't get the respect he deserves, he should have never taken the fight at 170 against B-HOP. he's beaten mosley twice and got robbed against taylor, he has nothing to prove, at 160 winky skools them all.
Margarito ain't a one punch KO artist and that was at WW where Williams had a size advantage. At MW he hasn't faced 1 decent puncher.
I'm not talking about just this fight but generally.Naturally Wright ain't a big puncher but that never was his main asset.
Maybe,we''ll see,Williams's defense is so shitty Winky could land that jab like a laser shot. But Winky might be really past it.
Did Winky rest? Or did Winky rust? That's the question. Winky from the Taylor fight beats Williams convincingly, and sets up Pavlik/Wright, and Kelly finally gets to add a hall of fame fighter to his resume':hey
