Like what I have posted in another thread . . . we don't know what's Winky's physical and mental state when he comes in into this fight . . . so everything is purely a wild guess and speculation.

But for the sake of arguement considering that Winky will just be 60 % of what he was:

**** William's physical advantage (reach and height). Championship experience will be the major factor. Bhops; Ike Quartey; Jermain Taylor; Sam Soliman; Felix Trinidad and Shane Mosley are mixtures of Technical and power fighters and yet they failed to KO the Winkster. They failed to solve the riddle of Winky's game. :yep

Williams? Don't forget he lost to Quintana by points!

What does that tell you? :deal

    :D

I want both in 2009! Assuming of course that Winky wins, but that is an asumption based on faith, not brains.

Winky ain't gonna win but he ain't gonna get stopped either.
At least he''ll get to go out as the crowd favorite,a kinda poetic justice......when he was on top he was booed, now they can't but root for him.

Honourable mention to prime McKart X 3. Not a puncher, but a tough nut to crack in those days, and we're talking experience against different styles.

    Exactly my point. :yep

Winky is the kind of fighter who can stay in the pocket . . . make you miss a lot of punches . . . then dish out his counter attack. :deal

Paul will win a UD by a good margin. Can he stop Winky? Maybe by TKO. I think he will actually look to get a stoppage if Winky is looking vulnerable but I agree that Winky getting stopped is a long shot. Winky I doubt is shot and will go on and have a few more good fights at 160 I would think. Let's be honest though. Winky's big problem are those glazed doughnuts. If he could not be motivated enough against B-hop to be in proper shape I have doubt about this fight. Maybe the lay off was good for him mentally though. He's not going to let Paul just walk through him but I don't see him winning.

Unless Winky grow old over night, I think Winky will win.

Not totally true. B-hops won't ever be stopped unless he fights till he's 60! lol He's the exception though.

Don't forget to add a really strong Fernando Vargas on Winky's resume.

I guess I'll go against the grain and agree that Williams will TKO Wright. He hasn't fought in two years and I have a strange feeling Wright will kill himself to make weight. He'll come out hot, tire out by round six or so and be easy pickings for Williams' combinations and recent dedication to power punching.

    Williams TKO9.

If Winky even shows up at 70% of what he's been in the past at Middleweight... he outboxes Williams.
