i wonder if winky's experience will turn this one into a bhop pavlik fiasco?
pw is young, really young. but he's got a terrifying right hand, one that could stop winky if winky's not really really careful. how does winky's defense rate against bhops? same holding, spoiling technique or more from the outside, speed, etc.
if it is speed, then he''s in trouble, if it's holding, not so much.

He's stopping him... just like Kelly stopping Hopkins...

Seriously, if Winky has anything left, he'll beat Williams. Not too complicated, isn't it? I don't say it would be easy, but Wright is FAR MORE SUPERIOUR in skill level, has excellent defense and an amazing jab to set up his straight punches.

Then again, everything depends on which Winky Wright shows up. But if he visited the gym regularly and age, health isn't a factor, Williams will suffer his 2nd loss.

Of course, at 38, after 2 years outside of the ring and with a recent injury, young, big, strong Williams should be favored. But he's not stopping any version of Winky.

I am going with Winky by decision. What a way to get back into the mix by beating Williams. Winky always comes in shape and always ready to prove people wrong.

idk why but i keep picturing williams stopping wright. I wouldnt doubt that im wrong and that it goes to the cards in which i think williams would win a wide decision but i think williams is gonna stop him

He was in NO SHAPE for the Hopkins fight. He even admitted that much.

He's aging, his reflexes are declining, he's inactive...sounds like the makings of a stoppage to me.

    I ain't predicting a stoppage...

I think Paul gets it either 7-5 or 8-4...

What I can't understand is the nerve of some of you idiots who still talk about Quintana. That fight was over a year ago, and he's fought three times since then, including a revenge KO1. I sure hope Winky is like you guys, and thinks he's fighting the same PW that fought Quintana the first time...

    ****in idiots!

If you watched the fight, you will notice that Taylor was able to to get through Winky's guard on numerous occasions. The only reason why the fight was close is because Taylor kept backing up while letting his guard down. BUT every time Taylor was pressing forward he was winning rounds. Had Taylor kept pressing and never backed up, (as Emmanuel Steward told him to do) and fought in the center of the ring, he would of won the fight convincingly.

There is no doubt in my mind that if Taylor fought Wright again, Taylor would win.

I think the time off will help Winky because he was in some very tough fights. With Winky's skills, all he needs to do is have a good training camp and sparring, to make sure his timing is right, and he'll be ready to go. Williams has not fought anybody on Winky's skill level that can exploit his weaknesses and I expect him to be schooled.

Winky in shape? You must be on something! He has to lose ten more pounds than last time and he was not in good shape at all. Winky self-admits he cannot stay away from all the damn doughnuts. He weighs 190 when he doesn't fight and now it's almost been 2 years. Could be even worse this time.

Winky's guard can be beaten down. Bernard did it with harldy any body shots and Williams will be pounding on Winky's rib cage.
