This was not a robbery, but the wrong guy won. I can understand the arguement being made for Paul, but I don't think you can't give him the fight based solely off his compubox punch stats and his coming forward pressure style. Many people have said he outworked Martinez which I feel is incorrect. The piddy pat slaps paul tend to throw in between real punches count as power punches looking solely at his compubox output but did nothing to effect Martinez. Martinez on the other hand countered all night handled Paul's pressure well avoiding many punches and even though he tired out in the later rounds I felt he won a few of the later rounds. Martinez landed almost all of the clean, hard, effective punches. I mean people had the 1st round being a draw, which should clearly have been a Martinez round. When you compare the fashion of the KD's and the punishment each fighter took I don't see how that could be a Williams round. There were also plenty of exchanges where paul would land 3-4 grazing shots and Martinez would counter with 1-2 clean hard shots. I just thought it was a hard fought but a clear win for Martinez. Judging off Paul's expression after the bell rung, and his corners urging before the 12th, it didn't look like they thought he won, comparing the damage to their faces it didn't look like he won, and i'm sure the next morning he didn't feel like he won.

And just for the record I'm not a fan of either fighter.

Bottom Line if PW is great as they Say he should give Serge A Immidiate Rematch.

I want to see Martinez comfortable with his weight and see if he can Keep up with williams Pace for 12 like he did the 1st 6 on the first fight.
this gives the Punisher no Doughts about who he is.

The fact that Martinez didn't get the win wasn't a robbery, but scoring that fight 119-110 is robbing someone. No way in hell is that a valid scorecard.

Martinez held 37 times in the fight, and a few times had to be torn away from PW. The most hurt any fighter in the fight was Martinez at the end of the 4th, he staggered pretty badly.

PW won the last two rounds, and won the fight.

I AGREE TOTALLY! Paul won a very close fight and people really need to deal wit it instead of bashing paul williams every chance they get
