You could be right, but he's never fought anyone who has anywhere near the experience and ring savvy of Hopkins. Lacy and Hopkins are two different levels of competition. Hopkins will make Calzaghe pay for every mistake he makes defensively.
it'll be interesting because last time hopkins fought someone with the attributes of calzaghe he was beat by JT
questionable or at least very close decisions, most would say. And remember, unlike Taylor, Calzaghe is a Brit coming into Hopkins backyard. It's a whole different scenario as far as referreeing and the judges.
It was basically a bad matchup style wise for Williams. Quintana is, style wise, a tough fight for anybody, except Cotto. It kinda boiled down to a lefty fighting a lefty, except one lefty is pretty slick (Quintana) and the other lefty is a volume puncher (Williams). And most lefty's have trouble with lefty's. Quintana landed a lot of powere shots, that never seemed to hurt Williams, but did cut him over both eyes. I think Williams management pulled a real boner in picking Quintana to fight. Apparently all they watched was the Cotto fight where Quintana got the living hell beat out of him.
