Since Williams wants to go back to Welter and pressure is considerably high on Berto to fight someone legit in the welterweight division.
Lets say HBO snaps and tells Haymon to match these fighters against each other or they wont broadcast either of their fights anymore.

    Who wins this?

I'd probably slightly favour Williams, literally based on size and workrate alone. Although, it depends if the Martinez bout has affected Williams mentally (which I wouldn't be surprised if it has)...Williams may not be as willing to step in to punching range to unleash his own shots.

Good bout at this point, assuming Williams can make 147lbs.

Williams..everything going for him...Height, reach, experience, speed (at par i think) bigger!
Knows how to use all those advantages.

He certainly doesn't use his height and reach, or experience.

Absolutely. I've always maintained Berto gets pasted by Williams, Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, the obvious Pac and May and was on shaky ground with several other fighters around to boot. Seems like a good kid, a good fighter, but I just can't see him ever being thought of as an elite one. He's got good pop, and he does have elite speed, a very good all-around athlete, a few nice moves, but the ring IQ, stamina, punch resistance...they don't look hopeful to me.

oh he does:good Just because he fought someone who knows how to get in his defence doesnt mean he doesnt know how to use them. Martinez was spectacular! but compared to berto? Williams will dominate:good
