I agree he'll probably have a better event then Lockett managed but its a horrible fight for Jennings... Good lad hope he does well.

    Yes, i think he will.

Williams is no way near as imposing as Pavlik. Jennings will try and win.

Williams has finished quickly recently though. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him finish Jennings in the first. I mean he did it to Kolle and Quintana.

A brawling style should beat Williams, plenty of body shots. I'd favour Margarito to stop him next time.

Mad fight for Jennings, no way he can win. But he doesn't belong at this level and won't get many opportunities for a pay day like this so I hope he puts up a good showing. Certainly wont be like Pavlik vs Lockett.

So.......he should turn it down ????

Jennings has skill and Quintana made williams look ordinary first time round. i reckon he'll do ok.

Should do better than Lockett. Williams is a sloppy fighter with little skill. Just a freakish athelete that wings in punches.

Jennings has good technique and the chance to counter with rights. Unfortunately he's probably not got the power to throw Williams off rhythm like Quintana, nor the movement to avoid him for 12.

i would say williams is much tougher fight than pavlik.

jennings gets KO round 1. and i dont think this fight will happen, looks like his fighting clottey in a unification. he will drop wbo belt then.

I lost what little respect I had for Lockett when he sort of looked at Enzo Calzaghe in a plea to throw the towel in. Showed a complete lack of bottle. His attitude before the fight pissed me off, and in truth his retirement is good for boxing.

Back to Jennings........ Williams has been built up to being a freak - beating Margarito, who has since destroyed Cintron and Cotto, then destroying Quintana and a MW in a round apiece.

They seem to brush over the Quintana loss as though it never happened - but having watched it twice, he was comprehensively outboxed throughout and made to look very sloppy in patches.

To me though, Jennings doesn't have the power to back Williams up, nor the counterpunching skills + movement to get shots off and out of range again.

Williams TKO mid rounds, after a brave showing.

Williams is in no way a harder fight than Pavlik. They both have extreme work-rate, but the difference is Pavlik uses his height and size advantage much more effectively. He fights tall, his punches are all straight and harder than Williams.

Williams throws a lot of round punches.

    Is this not confirmed then?
I like Jennings' style - always have done - wish he had more power behind his nicely timed assaults though. No shame in a loss here - good luck to him if it happens.
