Williams vs Martinez 2 at 157lbs catchweight

I think Sergio will win the rematch convincingly, I had the first fight 115-113 to P-Dub.

I personally think the weight clause is unecessary; it's about what I expect both men to come in anyways.

Martinez also only had a few weeks to prepare let's not forget.

However, if Williams does win people will just say 'the 3lbs made the difference' like it did to Cotto, apparently.

 

That rematch told us nothing. He caught Quintana early (who's an up and down fighter at best) and that was that. It's not like he had time to show he'd solved Quintana's movement.

He certainly couldn't solve Martinez's style at any point. In fact it was Martinez who changed up his approach, not Paul.

But the three weeks thing doesn't account for the physical training he'd done. he was a lot fitter and more physically prepared for a hard fight.

This will be another hard fight, but Martinez is coming in on truly even footing this time.

 

Martinez wasn't even preparing for a fight and came in at 3 weeks notice to face a physical freak like Williams.

Williams is a bit of a ****, he thinks he is a worth a lot more than he is. Same with Andre Berto.

It's clear Williams only took the rematch as he had no other option, HBO were forcing his team to. Martinez agreed ages ago but Williams camp were looking for a big fight at welterweight that didn't exist.

 

What a pointless catchweight! They can both make light middleweight with little to no problem.. Just Williams being a ***** and wanting an even bigger size advantage.
