Thats excatly what I was telling my friends he should do.. I rather him fight Martinez again especially for how close the fight was and it would be good for the title too..

Exactly. The "most avoided" fighter has found his match.

Of course, Martinez has now been screwed twice fighting in the States. I wouldn't blame him at all if he pulled a Sturm and holed up in Argentina for the next five years.

Man, I was at work reading posts when it was said about the knockdowns and I ran to a vacant room and started watching the fight from the third round on. I work at a hotel with HBO. What a hell of a fight. I hope the first round is youtube soon.

The 119-110 card suggests he never had a chance at a fair shake. That's still getting screwed in my book. The fight was extremely close, and Williams put out a great effort, but that card stinks like ass.

This quote right here is the reason why I believe most people voted for Martinez..

Yes that should should be banned from judging and there's nobody on here disputing that his scoredcard was outrageous but this fight was not a robbery.. Very close fight..

HOW IN THE HELL DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE, AT ALL???????????????

I had Williams winning but Williams took more damage?????????

Here's a lesson in boxing for you. The fighter that takes more damage LOSES!

Not if you judge each round independantly.

Maybe that's why so many people are upset.

Williams had two cuts, Martinez none, Martinez wins!!!!!

That's not quite how it goes in the real world.

I had Williams winning more rounds but this fight was deserved of a draw b/c Martinez landed the more solid shots while Williams was more aggressive and landing more frequent.

For one, calm the hell down. Two, you're wrong and its funny you put that in all capitals.
Eg: If fighter A wins 11 rounds without either fighting getting badly hurt but then fighter A suffers a badly broken nose in the last 5 seconds of round 12; who won the fight? Fighter A won the fight but took more damage. The fighter that loses more rounds, loses the fight.
    Idiots.

7-5 Martinez, but could easily see it going Williams' way. We need a rematch, stat.
