    same here.

well, unfortunately "power punches" count as anything except a jab. i couldn't believe williams was still in there after getting his head bobbled around and snapped back so much. i was very impressed both with martinez's punching and williams's chin. martinez is a ****in warrior. the guy knows how to dig deep. they're both awesome, but martinez won me over last night with his boxing ability and mental toughness against the beast that is paul williams.

this, however i can see how one would have the championship rounds 1-1 as i thought the 12th was either a draw or 10-9 williams.

round 5 was full of right hooks to PW head

and 2 mins into the round, martinez gets him with a nice combo, lead left then right hook

round 4 and 6 belong to PW tho

The other important thing to notice, though, is that most people are saying they would have been fine with a draw or a close decision either way, regardless of who they scored as the winner.

Martinez won the fight. I don't care if PW out-tapped him with all those light punches, Martinez out-bombed him with big, clean punches. Just look at PW's face.

Is Paul still in the hospital???

I heard Martinez went out an sang a concert after the fight!

    Sergio Martinez - Paul Williams

    10-9
    10-9
    10-9
    9-10
    9-10 (close)
    10-9 (close)
    9-10 (very close)
    10-9
    9-10 (very close again)
    10-9
    10-9
9-10 (EXTREMELY GENEROUS, Martinez actually landed the harder shots, but Paul dug deep and kept it close)

    115-113. MARAVILLA SERGIO MARTINEZ!!!!!!

To be honest, Paul didn't win rounds convincingly, Martinez won at least 5 rounds very, VERY convincingly. 119-110? That judge should never be able to judge a fight ever again.

I scored a Draw, though I would have been fine with either guy getting a decision. Obviously, one of the official cards was obscene.
