Williams vs. Martinez : Who did you score it for?

Dude, Martinez won that fight. 115 - 113. the 119-110 judge needs go jump off the empire state building. I visibly saw PW hurt 3 times and buzzed 5. Martinez was hurt 1 time (no the KD he was not hurt or buzzed).

 

62 to 20 for Martinez (at the moment) still proves a point.

 

I had Martinez winning the fight 7-5 he clearly landed the clear punches I'm ok with 7-5 for Paul but 119-110 ???common

After they both fell on each other near the ropes somewhere in the middle rounds (I can't recall which one), Paul Williams looked noticeably slow to get up.

 

The extremely questionable 119-110 score was turned in by ring judge Pierre Benoist

 

I had it 115-113 martinez.....I have no problems with anything ranging from that to 115-113 williams.....or a draw.....anything further off from that is a joke....i.e. 119-110....where the **** was this guy in the paulie-diaz fight....apparently this guy favors jabbers....imo that was williams best punch of the fight....

 

Martinez had a little swelling PW was busted up. and in the post fight interview he knew he got a gift. HE got the Business tonight. MArtinez will get a rematch. HBO will Make sure of it. Also it was a great fight and both fighters are warriors.

I have a feeling this fight took more out of Williams then it did Martinez.

 

Based on both fighters history, Paul Williams wasn't the fighter that he has shown to be in the past. Sergio Martinez looked the same as he's always been. He fought his fight and Williams didn't fight his fight ... he hurt Williams several times, hit him with the cleaner punches, landed at a higher percentage, and didn't seem to look the same as the previous Williams opponents.

Martinez won the fight by a close margin and if you wanted to be generous ... you could score it a draw.

Didn't see the fight, and I'm not surprised by the result. Williams is overrated, been saying it all along. I see that most people thought Martinez won the fight. Proves I'm right. Goosen is corrupt as they come.

 

We'll still have to hear about how he's some destroying force that would destroy anyone from 147-160.

 

martinez I had up by one point. he had paul miss the whole night till the 10th round great fight and I would like to see it again. it was close

 

You don't think it was Martinez making Williams look average. Almost any other fighter in there besides Martinez and we get the same Paul. Martinez was making him pay for being sloppy and wasn't overwhelmed by workrate. He was good on his feet and able to keep the fight where he wanted for the most part.
