    I had it 114-114 draw.

Martinez landed the more flush shots but, since he isn't really a power puncher, he was unable knock PW out, who has an amazing chin and heart btw. Had Martinez been a power puncher PW would have been out of there. PW remained strong and kept on being the aggressor till the end. Sergio was gassing out but I think he did enough to win at least one of the last 2 rounds.

I think Sergio deserved a draw at least.

Nah not overrated at all. It would be hard to try and put any other fighter in either mans place tonight and give that type of performance. most fighters would have wilted by what the other man was trying to do. They both had their moments Martinez just found a few more answers and was able to find that left like you mentioned going down the stretch. Williams did manage to tighten up his d enough to make Martinez have to use a different approach.

I scored it 7-5 Williams excatly like Leddermans card but I could see it going either way.. People saying Paul was just landing slap punches need to watch the fight again.. He landed alot of solid clean blows.. Martinez just landed some good one punch blows and I guess the hype Williams gets on here being called the most avoided fighter is making a lot of people tip it towards Martinez just to hate.. Especially the Kelly Pavlik fans.. It should be more close on the polls because it wasn't no clear winner like that.. But it was a good fight

I had it a Draw but the last rd going to Williams so it leaves that impression, both men were exhausted but WILLIAMS APPEARRED fresher.......6-6....Martinez landed the harder punches

A great, great fight. Of course, the 119-110 scorecard......I'm floored....what a joke. I had Williams winning 115-113....strangely, I agreed with Lederman tonite. I gave the 1st rd to Williams. While, Martinez's KD was more spectacular, they both count the same, and I thought PW clearly outworked him the majority of the round. I was thoroughly impressed with Martinez's tactics and adjustments during the fight and wouldn't have complained one bit if he had won the fight. This one will be dissected and poured over fro a while, it was that close....... but that 119-110 judge has some serious explaining to do.

:good We had it the same Bummy. If you a knowledgable man like yourself scored the fight close to me then I know I did good.

I had it 5-5-2, though. 6-6 works fine too, as the 2 very close rounds could have gone either way. Although I felt an ever so slight lead for either fighter in each of those rounds.

This pole just shows that there are alot of people on here that lost their bets, love the underdog, or are just blind. Paul Williams did not lose that fight, no way. I would have been fine with a draw, but Martinez winning would have been unacceptable. You guys didn't see the fight correctly, Letterman had it right.

Paul 115-113, but a draw would have been fine. Martinez won his rounds bigger but most of the rounds were clear except 9 and 11. Williams seemed to do more overall, but I always knew the Quintana loss was no fluke. Figured this fight would be ruff.

Martinez clearly won the fight. He kept knocking back Williams' head over and over again. Good thing Martinez was not a hard puncher and did not have time to train for the fight.

Clearly the williams supporters on here are giving him credit for the high work rate. I wouldn't have a problem with that if it wasn't for the fact that When Martinez did land it was so much better. He buckled Paul's knees numberous times. Kieth I don't know how you can say that he wasn't bothered when he got hit. He's a tough SOB so he fired back but he was getting tagged hard with highlight reel punches and a lot of the punches that he was landing himself were barely grazing martinez.

Most of Martinez's holding was more out of his own exaustion than Paul's punches. It was a close fight but Martinez's shots were so much better than Paul's that I have to give him the edge and it's not even like Williams outlanded him by all that much more. He landed lik e50 more depsite throwing like 300 more.

I guess bothered is the wrong term. But he wasn't hurt. I completely disagree that he knees were buckled. The only time they did, he went down. Every other time he was hit his legs were just fine.

As for the holding. Getting hit hard tires a fighter out more than anything else in a fight. People seem to think that Martinez didn't get hit hard all night. He was wobbled at least three times and dropped once. that leads to more holding any time the heat comes later, which he did.
