    :good

Exact same score I had. I wanted to have it draw or Martinez by a round but really Williams won by a round or two. I was pulling for Martinez but really Williams pulled ahead.

If you gave Martinez 8 rounds you would be just as off as the French judge.

    10 point must

Williams himself in the post fight stated that he was hurt.

    agreed.

In my opinion most of the guys saying '115-113 williams but it was close" are fans of his who are trying to not sound bias.

I honestly can't see anything closer than 115-113 for Martinez.

I think Martinez won by a touch. At best, a draw for Williams. Martinez just put the hurt on Williams more.

He said he was hurt when he was knocked down..

Again if you can't see anything closer than 115-113 for Martinez, you are either biased or don't know how to judge a fight.

that's the beauty of watching a fight not rooting for anyone. It allows you to judge effectively.

115-113 Paul Williams. Close close fight, no robbery and both fighters deserved to win. I just wish that we can have three judges that think the same and have a reasonable scorecard. 115-113 Williams, and a 114-114 Draw are great scorecards nothing wrong with them, but 119-110 WTF are you thinking!

Martinez won in a very close, awesome fight. Could be fight of the year? Martinez landed the harder, more devastating punches. But obviously we always have a very blind judge. Rematch!!:good

It's probably not going to win FOTY, but this was an action fight fought with an incredibly high level of skill on both their parts. It blew Collazo - Berto out of the water IMO. Can't put it over JMM - Diaz though.

I had it six rounds apiece. If it hadn't taken Martinez so long to catch his second wind, I think he'd have won clearly. It was really three different fights. The first four were almost all Martinez, Williams took over in the middle rounds, and then IMO they split the championship rounds.

Just an excellent fight, marred by one assh*le who almost must have been paid off.

    I had it a draw.

Same is Lederman's card except for the 11th. I have no clue what the **** he was looking at in that round.

Pierre Benoist should never be allowed near a boxing match in any official fashion again 119-110, I mean what the ****ing **** was that ****ing bull****.:-(

there needs to be a rematch

If you didnt see the fight maybe you should watch it first before giving an opinion based on secondary accounts.

Martinez fought gallantly but came up short, he started off pretty well and then Williams adjusted mid fight and controlled the tempo of the fight. Most people think that Martinez won the fight because maybe he won them over during the course of the fight.

But when you consider that none of the judges gave the edge to Martinez and the fact that Williams threw more and landed more and was the fresher of the two going into the championship rounds (as evidenced by his higher output in the 11th and 12th) it suggests that Martinez's punches were not as effective as they appeared to be.

So you gave the 11th to Willaims. Seriously dude I don't see that in the least bit.

    The 12th was clearly Williams.

    lol right

no, my reasoning is because i know how to score a fight and don't work for HBO

There were alot of close rounds but in almost all of them Martinez landed much more clean, powerful shots while PW's aggression was rather aimless and his punches not very effective by comparison.

Look at the compubox. I'd love to see what the hell they count as "power punches" in regards to Williams. Those Power punch PW stats were absurd.

Look at Pw's face vs Martinez's. Who would you rather be and who endured more punishment?

I also called it a draw or the nod for Martinez. This is the guy that would stop a prime Hearns? I have not seen walk with me post just yet. I would like to hear what he has to say.
