If Williams gets sloppy and falls in, doesn't jab and gets countered all night it's an easy Mayweather W.

If Williams keeps his composure though, makes Mayweather reach and forces his way inside on Mayweather with that long jab he wins in surprising fashion.

This is a middleweight fighting a welter. Don't forget that. It is Williams' fight to lose.

I say Paul Williams would win by clear UD, please don't let the first Quintana fight cloud your judgement.

Well Williams would take this fight seriously unlike he did in the first Quintana fight.

    Quintana Quintana Quintana....

That's all people ever talk about nowadays. #1 Paul wasn't fighting anywhere near the level he was capable. #2 Since then he has gotten a new strength trainer and feels more confident about his power. #3 Quintana doesn't want any part of a rematch and has made that clear by his inaction. #4 Paul is a different fighter altogether.

That loss has inspired him the same way other fighters have been inspired by their defeats. He would be ready and focused for PBF. Whether he wins or not is a different story altogether. I really don't think Floyd had has ever faced anyone quite like P. And especially a lefty with power and stamina. Would be tough for Floyd.

IF you have a defence like Mayweather, Hopkins etc it can take away your opponents punch output because they have nothing to hit. Its then upto the defensive master to place the right punches to win the round. Floyd is used to offensive machines i.e. Chavez and N'dou. Nevertheless, he's never faced a prospect as daunting as Williams!

I guess I'm a clear minority for favoring PTP and I'm somewhat surprised. Although he is undefeated and truly a great champion Mayweather isn't invincible. He has been pressured and tested by guys like JLC, Chavez, and even Hatton to a small extent. What these guys all have in common is the ability to fight inside and a always come forward approach.

Now after watching the inside work that PTP displayed against Phillips, I have to recoginze the great challenge that he would present to Mayweather. The difference between PTP and those other guys is ofcoarse his size and reach and pressure from a tall and strong fighter is nothing like pressure from a smaller weaker one. PTP can also show Floyd different looks by fighting on the outside and using his jab and throw over 100 punches a round. He's also just a flat out better fighter than those other guys.

    I'd pick PTP by UD.

Floyd by tko 11 ref stops the fight because Paul is to tall and can't stand up anymore...

Floyd is quick and to smart he'd tie Paul up all night and bang with him on the inside.

It's like i don't know what some people see when they watch Floyd Mayweather fight but what i see is a defensive master with a sneaky defense...with a deadly right hand...who if force to fight on the inside has a pin point body attack keep in mind he's one of the most accurate punchers ever it's a fact...Ask Oscar...Ask Ricky...Ask Zab...Ask Arturo...

When Quintana beat Williams...he touch that soft mid section...Williams lost...stop moving up and down in weight Paul.

It be a tough fight for about the first 5 rounds a nice little scuffle by the 8th Floyd is flurrying and Paul is looking similiar to Tommy Hearns when he fought Ray...it's simple really.

Oh for dude who said Floyd has a tough time with southpaw's that really has yet to be proven because he hasn't lost yet.

Left hook...right hand...that's Money May all day.

What can i say I'm from the Gun.

Williams clear ud. He is just too tall, too long, and throws too many punches. Floyd wouldnt come anywhere near Paul Williams, no matter how much he was offered

He ain't it's hype and that's all fine and well when it come to boxing and people wanna see big fights or whatever but when you break it down skill for skill you'll really see Paul Williams doesn't stand a chance.

Right now I'd say Mayweather, I don't think Paul is polished enough yet, but I believe it would definitely be entertaining.

It would be a really good fight. But the illusion of mayweather would be shattered by Williams in an astonishing domination. floyd is too careful and cautious and too afraid of losing to ever step in a ring with the Punisher.

The problem with fighting mayweather is his ability to evade punches and to take advantage of his opponents mistakes... so I guess height and and power dosent matter if your fighting him... a fighter as quick as he is and with freikish power would throw off his game....lets say skills of hopkins and power of tyson?
