With the hotly anticipated rematch coming up tomorrow.... I would like to know how you scored the first encounter.

Everyone at Sky believes (or is told to say) that McDermott was a clear winner.

For some reason I scored this one for Williams..... does anyone agree?

Also.... just Boxrec Danny Williams. Look at how often Dave Parris has knifed him in close fights - was this an issue in the 1st fight?

i had williams just about winning. would have been clearer had the ref not deducted a point from williams when mcdermott tried to break his arm in the last round.

wonder who the ref this time will be..?

and how bad will it be to have fat john mcdermott as the british hw champ? :dead

I think I will commit suicide if McDermott is our HW champ.

Calzaghe - please come back - beat this ****er!

Williams was fortunate he didn't get other deductions. He was a dirty ******* all night.

However, he would have won clearly with more discipline.

Besides, I believe if he actually bothers to turn up he should spark McDermott out anyway. McDermott has a bad chin and freezes up under pressure.

If I remember rightly I think I had Danny Williams winning that fight, even although he was lucky not to get stopped.

Parris has only ref'd 3 of his fights ??
    The McDermott one he won,
The Williams one he also got the nod.
The only one he's lost with Parris was the Sprott one ???

I scored it for Williams but can't find my post on the subject. Uncle Dave tried his ****ing hardest that night to shaft Danny.

I had it for Williams and I thought the point deductions were ridiculous.

I agree.... Sky are really pissing me off with there slanted take on Hatton P4P and McDermott with "he should have got the decision" ....

The only thing in the McDermott Williams fights was that one round where Williams was fortunate it was not satopped....but credit to him he came back well and also put Mcdermott in trouble later on.... Williams sneaked it last time I remeber....I beleive Setanta or maybe ITV worked out by talking to judges etc... how the fight was scored....and it all seemed legit. The vids are probably on youtube with the fight analysis .

The Sky team were swayed by the ridiculous bias of Jim Watt and they seem to now be under the delusion that he was robbed and won by a landslide. The fight was clearly won by Danny, the farcical deductions made it closer, but I still had Williams nicking it by a point, despite the ridiculous efforts of Parris.

Davey boy clearly had it in for Danny, and was probably hoping to see him get KTFO so allowed him to continue when it might have been called off. The fact that this inadvertently allowed him to continue and edge the fight, probably pains him to this very day. :D

I am only watching this fight, then going to bed.

Can't be assed with Hatton vs Pacman...
