    Someone above mentioned Berto.. now that I think about it - that would be a fight I'd love to see. If a Mosley fight couldn't be made, maybe they could get that one done.

    How do you figure? :huh

    Cotto gave both Margarito and Clottey a shot. Both fighters are high risk-low reward fighters...and he took them willingly.

    I think if Cotto beats Clottey, he might shoot after Mosley or Williams IMHO

    great fight, but not a pay per view fight these days. I'm sure neither promoter would accept the risk of pay per view. They need the guaranteed HBO dollars. Will HBO pony up? Probably depends on last night's ratings. Mosley-Marg did quite well.

    Oh to be so naive.

    Cotto wanted to fight Williams, The two sides wanted to fight. Bob Arum put a stop to that.

    Clottey wanted to fight Williams. Williams sent Team Clottey an offer. Never heard back. It's entirely believed that Arum put a stop to that as well.

    Point being?

    No Top Rank fighter will fight Paul Williams. Arum has major heat with Paul Williams.

    make the fight happen ... on the west coast ... it would sell ... and Williams is becoming a household name ... throw it on PPV and throw a great undercard in there and you got 500k buys ...

    I'm sure that if HBO wants to they can sell the fight to the public ... have a couple of features on each fighter during fights leading up to the match up ... fighter interviews ... and things like that.

    The ring Magazine already said that if Williams comes back he will be in position to fight for the welterweight title ... thats why Mosley vs Margarito wasn't for the welterweight title.

    Mosley would make a good chunk of money ... more than he made against Mayorga and Margarito put together.

    I don't know what kinda idiot would pass up on that fight ... he has a hot trainer in Brother Nazim ... they would come up with a good game plan ...

    This guys is cheating boxing fans out of a good fight by chasing fighters who won't fight him again.

    He has the title (WBA) and he's got leverage over whoever he faces ...


    someone with Twitter should twitter HBO and tell them to make the fight happen.

    this is DEFINATELY ppv worthy. My money's on Sugar Shane.

    This is the real deal #1 vs #2 WW for the real title. Cotto vs Clottey for #1 contender.
