Williams by late round stoppage. I can't believe how many people think that Pac would win and by stoppage no less!
Yuri formane was too big and too tall for manny...paul williams would murder him....at 147 pw could still be strong (we will see in his next fight or 2 as he moving back 2 147) and if he is still strong than manny would not be able to outwork him..pw late ko
One of the few times I'll ever agree with bladerunner. Paul is too easy to hit, anyone taking punches from Pac at WW gets hurt. Pac knows how to get inside, and he's short enough to make that akward for Paul and his long arms. If Quintana and Pac met, who do you think would take that one? Enough said.
They fought DLH who was 5'10". Roach was fine with Pac fighting Foreman. Foreman was simply not a good opponent to make Pac look good, his height and style would have made for a boring fight and may have frustrated Pac a bit, doesnt mean team pac was scared or couldnt beat him. Just a case of Pac being able to pick anyone he wants, why pick Foreman... Williams is a very...I dont know, he's definitely no Hearns. He throws a lot of arm punches and is so open, I think Pac would do him easy. So would PBF & Mosley.
Pac's camp is maybe the most contradictory camp EVER. I'm just repeating what they said. They said Yuri is too tall.
People keep mentioning about the Quintana first fight but Quintana is more slicker and stands 5'9 while Pacquiao stands 5'6. And that was a short notice to prepare for the first Quintana fight and Williams didn't sparr with a southpaw to train for Quintana. <<<Williams won't do that if he prepares for a Pacquiao showdown thats for sure. If Williams comes down to 147 pounds healthy i see him outworking 5'6 Pacquiao to a decision but i like that many here think Pacquiao can win it cause if Williams beat Pacquiao, Williams better get a big credit that he deserves.
It was his choice to go play in the welter division. It's only fair and most importantly a sign of respect to hold him to the same standards that we do every other welter.
