It's funny how Pavlik has fans all of a sudden...and new found skills.

Pavlik KO 10. Williams just doesnt provide enough movement in my eyes to keep Pavlik off of him. If he was rocked by Margarito, he can be rocked by Pavlik.

In terms of styles - Paul Williams has a huge advantage.

However, Kelly is more used to the weight. Cannot say he is bigger because Paul is very big and has just helt his weight down. But he is more used to the weight and the pounds have had more time to adjust to his body and the division.

Overall however, I think it will be an even fight and much depends on their mental ability. If Pavlik does not believe in it 100% and go after it although he may be behind on points after 8 rounds, then PW will win. Maybe even a wide UD. If Kelly is jammed full of confidence and defies the fact that Paul has stylistic advantages and speed advantages, then he may work and gut Paul down - not too much unlike what Froch did against Taylor.

However, I'm actually on the fence for this.

Everything is irrelevant except one thing, HOW WILL PW's CHIN hold up after he get hit clean? The hardest puncher he has faced is probably Margarito, I am not even going to compare Margarito and Kelly's power. Another thing worth noting is if Pavlik respects PW's power or will he walk him down? Bad fight for Paul in my opinon, shows a LOT of courage though, I can respect that to the fullest.
PW's corner throws in the towel round 7 after PW absorbing to many power shots from THE GHOST! :deal
    MUCH RESPECT TO PAUL WILLIAMS!!!!!!

Maybe -- Maybe not. I expect a very fast paced and relatively short fight because I think Williams will come in thinking he can be his usual agressive self. However, if he fights smart and moves around a lot, it could go 10-11 rounds.

Exactly, if PW comes in "aggressive" I would not be surprised if he goes down and pavlik finishes him off in 1, someone whos chin has not been tested would be suicide to trade with a puncher, I just can't see PW moving around a lot, the guy is to active with his punch output, yeah he could jab and try to box moving back but Pavlik is a good puncher against someone backtracking to the ropes where Pavlik wants you to be, I just don't see ANY way PW can pull this off.

Never know in boxing, but I think Pavlik will win by TKO or KO. Wonder why Goosen finally allowed his fighter to fight?

Ya -- he has a VERY high work rate, but the accuracy isn't there. I was just watching part of Williams/Wright, and through the 4th round Williams threw 165 jabs, landed 24. A guy who can counter Jermain Taylor's jab, which Pav did in the 2nd fight, is not going to be to troubled by Willy's jab. I think that is important because I have maintained for a long time that if you can't win a jabbing contest with KP, you have little hope of beating him.

i can see it... i think PW can kinda pull off more effectively what JT tried to do in their second fight... i think he can fire combinations and keep kelly off balance, just generally f up his timing so that he can't get into that pattern where he jabs the **** out of u (JT was less and less effective as the fight wore on and was hurt with a body shot late -- but we all know jermain's issues with stamina)

if i were booking this fight i'd have it fairly even and i'd get down on williams

You have a point and a couple of posters have said the same as you, as far as JT's 2nd fight, the thing is, whenever I think of JT and PW, I just can't get over the fact that PW frame looks so skinny and fragile, hopefully I don't sound ignorant but how many posters would think a boxer's frame, meaning not much muscle, going up and facing the hardest puncher in the division would be a reason and a disadvantage against a big middle like Kelly?
