I was juss chillin on ESB and sippin on some Grey Goose when I started thinking about the upcoming fights. We have many important fights coming up like Bute-Zuniga, Bradley-Holt, ALMOST Wlad-Haye, Cotto-Clottey, and of course the BIGGEST FIGHT-Hatton-Pacquio. Than I thought of a fight coming up a month from tomorrow. APRIL 11TH WILLIAMS-WRIGHT.

I think Williams is a great fighter and he fights anyone, anytime, anywhere (Diaconu fans stay away cuz that muh fu34a doesn't deserve a shot at Paul). He has said many times he'll fight anyone between 147-168. I think many fans have not given him the credit he is due. I read a thread earlier where the poster stated that Williams was ducking Quintana and he's only good cuz he is big. I disagree with this poster however. Williams has the opportunity to become a great fighter with the right promoter in his corner (IMO Golden Boy would be it but Goosen has done a great job anyways). Besides, Paul murdered Carlos in the second fight to show us how good he is when he is ready. What other fighter do you know of that is willing to fight in 4 different weight classes at 1 time???:huh Vic Darchinian comes to mind but he wouldn't be as competitive at 122 that Paul Williams is at 160. Could the best fighter in the world, Manny Pacquio fight at 130, 135, 140, and 147 at one time? I wouldn't think so...135 and 140 yes...At 147 he could fight some decent fighters but he would get beat fighting the best in Mosley, Cotto, and Clottey, and Williams (I still consider Williams a contender at 147 cuz he can still make the weight) who are all in charge of the WW division at this point (Ill give Berto a mention but he isn't near the level of the 4 fighters above).

Now we have the fight to see how good Williams is. Not to the fans like myself that feel Williams has already proved himself; But to the fans that say Williams is "just big and thats his only attribute," or the fans that say he is avoiding the best fighters at 147 (when clearly they are avoiding him)...If Williams beats Wright than even the haters can't continute to say all the bullsh1t! Williams, his trainer, and his promoter have repeatedly said they'd fight at any weight from 147-168 but his best weight is 147. He's fighting Winky Wright (who IMO could beat any WW H2H-He beat the best WW today, Shane Mosley x2) and IF he beats Winky that will show the fans that don't give him the credit he deserves how good he really is. Winky has been inactive but he is less than 2 years removed from the #3 fighter in the world when Hopkins beat him at 170. I think winky is hungry and ready for Paul. :thumbsup

Furthermor Paul has called for fights with Cotto, Mosley, Judah, rematch with Margarito (who he already beat convincingly):deal

I can hear fans now after the fight saying, "Winky is old," "Winky is rusty," "Winky was made for Paul." Winky is a good fighter and will test Paul's skills.:nono

Haters get over it cuz if Paul beats Winky (IM TAKIN PAUL BY UD) than even you haters can't deny the man is gonna be great!!!

Peace out n holla at ya boi!:hi:

This post is exactly what I'm talking about...How is he past his prime?? He lost to Bernard Hopkins and there is no shame in losing to the current 3rd best fighter in the world...at the time he was top 10! He has been inactive, YES...But what must this MAN WILLIAMS do to get any credit...

He's going to different weight classes willing to fight anyone...AT HIS BEST WEIGHT CLASS NOBODY WANNA FIGHT HIM!! HIS MANDATORY WOULDA TURNED HIM DOWN:nut CMON THE MAN IS REAL!

He aint even my favorite fighter and I'm givin him props...Im startin to like him cuz he is a true fighter...lets see any current WW go up to 160 and fight Winky Wright!

He'll stop Winky. He's going into his biggest fight and he will bring it. Margo-Cheato fans will never admit Paul is great. They're pathetic.

Quintana gave Williams a rematch, so................

Williams refused to give Margarito a rematch. He did not want to fight Pavlik either.

Beating Winky will do that. Just cause the guy ain't prime imo (2 years inactive, now 37 yrs old, prime was 2003-2004) doesn't mean he won't get his props, as long as people can see that a decent Wright shows up.

If Wright has anything left he will beat Williams, but Wright is getting old and has been inactive, which is the reason Williams is fighting him.

    Fighting Quintana a 3rd time...

1st this sport is a business..Quintana brings minimal money to the table...He's making more for fighting Winky anyways...

2nd Winky is a much better and much harder fight for Paul than Carlos...Let's say Paul drops out of the Winky fight and instead fights Carlos...Fans will say all over that he's ducking Winky...Only a few fans wanna see a 3rd fight with Quintana...HBO AND SHOWTIME didn't even want the Williams-Quintana rubbermatch...

3rd Paul is beyond Carlos...he took care of that....
