Williams vs wright-juss had a thought

I'm with ya man....I cant seem to understand the hate he's getting....I've heard some say its because of his fans...Honestly, I very rarely see a thread boosting or overrating Paul Williams...I've grown to like Williams...He kinda remind of a throw back fighter...Willing to fight anyone.

He's aging with two years worth of inactivity and has some in the reflex department.

If Williams wins he'll be given his just due...but don't expect people to bow to him. Wright is a moderate threat for Williams but Paul has everything to break Winky down.

In fact I'm going Paul TKO 10.

 

This is exactly the train of thought that gives way to Paul being overrated.
He is a very good young fighter still not proven whether be his fault or lack of comp his way.
Why shouldn't he give Qintana a rubber match?After all he was thoroughly schooled the first time.Yes he bumrushed him in the rematch and crushed him.Paul say he had an offnight the first go round. I say in the rematch Quintana didn't prepare well.
And remember Pac dropped Marquez thrice in the first round of the first fight.So if that fight was stopped then,guess what?People would say how Marquez was nothing.
Cmon now you're calling out three divisions when he has fought in only 3 divisions against inferior competition.Kolle who?what?when?Verno too old for tv.Then you say can anyone else do what he does and question the no1 Pac.Well guess what?Pac did it and against vastly superior comp.The second best fighter in the world in Marquez,young strong champ in Diaz,and a legend in DeLaHoya.
And as far as Winky being old he is and hasn't fought since losing.Yes a very big fight and should still be very entertaining but face it,noone knows what Wink has after being inactive for so long.

You understand what PAST PRIME is right? Means he's NOT at his best anymore. DOn't sonfuse past prime w/ being shot. Winky's not shot at all. But his best days are years ago. And at least 10 pounds lighter. Anyone could see he wasn't as effective @ 170 as he was lighter. And yes, I am aware he was fighting Hopkins, who no one looks good against.

And just how much credit is he supposed to get? Williams beat Margarito, who most here think sucks. He did lose to an unranked Quintana, and a win over him still doesn not change that he still lost a clear decision to someone who was unranked or barely ranked @ WW. The Phillips fight was good, but lets be realisitic about that.

Should WIlliams win big vs. Winky, he may not get props on this board (who ****in cares....this board has too many idiots), he'll get props from those who matter.

Actually, he seems more willing to fight any big name available. No problem with that. But anyone can call out big nams. As a matter of fact, EVERYONE seems to call out big names.

Guys in the upper weight classes aren't duckin him, since no one was obligated to fight him. Jumping around weight classes looks good, but if he doesn't establish himself in any one weight class, he may not get the fights he really wants.

 

So bring on Forrest-Mora III. A third fight isn't always necessary. And actually Forrest-Mora III has more of a right to happen than Williams and Quintana again. Williams just destroyed Quintana in the rematch and got rid of any doubts. He had an off night during the first fight, that is all.
You're really grasping at straws it seems.

Personally, I feel Paul Williams is a breath of fresh air for boxing. Exceptional fighter, willing to fight anyone and even going into their weight to do it.

 

So Quintana cant claim He had an off night too? double standard if you ask me.

 

Thats what gets Williams in trouble the "AVOIDED MOST FEARED MAN ****" he does the same thing the big names fighter in his division are doing. he aint a big enough name, hes still unproven, doesnt make sense finacially etc excuse.
Like what happen to Margarito, William's aint different.
