I dont get it when Williams doesnt get a fight witha named fighter hes avoided rather than it doesnt make sense financially, but when the tables are turned(Quintana) for example its acceptable he doesnt need to give him a trilogy,he gains nothing. please spare me the 1st round ko. double standard imo.

Bull****. They made a deal, Arum sold the deal to HBO, Pavlik started training, and Goosen came back and ask for more money TWICE. HBO said **** Off. I like Williams, but Pavlik, at this point, would give Paul a career threatening beating, and Goosen figured that out in time to get a ****ing stay of execution. Paul doesn't keep his ****ing hands up, and he doesn't use enough head movement. He'd get brutalized in 5 rounds.

But seriously, I like Paul, and I think he has a ton of potential. However, I do not like Paul against Winky or Kelly unless he made some serious changes. He doesn't move his head much and he tends to carry his hands pretty low. That makes him a sitting duck for a good jab. Winky and Pavlik both do some SERIOUS jabbing. Winky can use his jab to score points and keep Paul off of him. Pavlik would use his jab to set up the big right hand. Either way it's bad news without some stylistic changes on Paul's part.

 

Jim Lampley who is a Pavlik nuthugger even said that the reason Williams vs Pavlik ain't happening cause Pavlik didn't want the fight saying beating Williams won't do good cause people will bash him by beating a welterweight (Williams).
