Williams vs. Wright: Williams wants 50-50 split

    B-talk is reporting this proposed fight has hit a snag in negotiations due to Williams wanting a 50-50 split. Is this the best move for someone who is begging to get a major fight and claiming no one wants to fight him?

    In all fairness, Winky himself is not draw nor does he have much clout w/ the networks. But he is an attractive opponents, and his name would be the best on Williams' resume, in a winnable fight for him.

    But Winky's been on the scene for opver a decade, and paid his dues. Williams hasn't yet, but is a rising star.

    Is this the brightest move by Williams at this point? If not Winky, who can he fight to build his profile to what he deserves?

    50-50 split is more than fair. If anytihng Williams deserves more. Winky has the size advantage and hasn't won a fight in ages.

    WW think he deserves more? bull****

    if i were Williams' management i would tell Wright to go suck a donkey

    50/50 is more than fair. Winky's been inactive, he's never been a big draw, and PW is pretty hot right now. I am actually surprised that PW isn't getting more, like a 55/45 split.

    50-50 is fine Winky should take the fight he hasn't fought in over a year. I like Winky but he needs to quit pricing himself out of fights.

    bad fight for Paul Williams, the 50/50 split i dont have a problem with, but Winky is a very, very, tough match for Paul

    To me Winky is almost like a Carlos Quintana on steroids plus a much better chin and we all know what happened the first Carlos fought paul

    Tall slick sothpaws are the hardest styles to prep for in boxing just ask Antonio Margarito

    If 50-50 won't work, I hope Williams/Goosen reconsider their stance. This would be a major win for Williams. For all his bragging, his resume is still pretty thin at this point.

    why does everyone always use that first fight with quintana against paul williams like pw didnt come back and 1 round ko quintana...

    paul williams has all the tools in the world to beat winky although it will be a challenging fight

    its a big risk but to become a winner in life you have to take big risks sometimes

    LOL, if it's anything Wright should be begging for the 50/50 split. Williams is one of the hottest fighters in boxing at the moment, and Wright has done nothing but lose his bigger fights and get older the last few years. This seriously makes me laugh.

    50-50 is fine. How much does wright think he should get. He's been inactive for the longest plus he's fighting the smaller man. Wright needs not to be picky he's havng a hard time getting fights as it is
