fair play to paul by all means he deserves the bigger slice of the pie but it just shows his willingness to fight 50/50 is as fair as it gets

50-50 would be fair , if he was fighting somebody like mosley at 147...but at 154-160, wether he's exciting or not, winky has the upper hand ...why, just look at the mans resume and that'll tell you.....

All I am saying is that that style gave him trouble before and there is a posiblity that it can give him trouble again

I agree you do have to take the risks to gain the rewards

Isn't that Williams' line as well? And I don't want to make this a floyd thread, but since he's been inactive, would you think the same if he returned and Pac or hatton or whoever wanted 50-50 with him?

This is a winnable fight for Williams. And a high profile fight. Winky's been there, done that. And has options like a rematch with taylor (in early talks) and even Kessler. Williams is in a situation where no one really needs him. Think he'd fight Kirkland or Angulo at this point?

Goddamnit Winky you greedy douchebag. Just take a 50-50 split and get in the ring! You don't even deserve 50% actually.

oh no doubt.... I mean we have seen paul out boxed ( also unfocused) but we've also seen paul box, pound, throw 1000+ punches, throw painful body blows, box inside & outside.. i think paul NEEDS TO TAKE/MAKE THIS FIGHT

The last time i saw winky (bhop) he faded in the later rounds which we know paul hasnt done.. atleast up till this point.., and yeah he is a great tactician but he has struggled against high volume boxers (as told by someone else) and even with out being told that how much can you really box someone who's throwing as many punches as paul.. and punches that can be damaging (as seen in his past 3 fights) + winky has been sitting out for what? 2 years? thats a serious layoff .... unless winky can reduce williams output I see williams winning this fight .... especially if he williams into rhythym .... and if williams is clicking who knows maybe williams will be the first to stop winky in dramatic fashion

i really hope this fight comes off it will be a huge win for williams (especially if he wins dramatically .. no decision) which will be good for bargaining and getting his name into the mainstream .. but it is by no means a cake walk.... winky is dangerous !

im just curious about the weight this fight will occur at

This could be a great fight. Winky can be in borefests, but against aggressive fighters, he does up the ante.

But I see it at 168. Highest weight for PW. Should be interesting.

If a 50-50 split doesn't work out PW's team could always try offering Winky a 75-25 split, if that's not enough then try offering him 2cents. I know it's strange math but I'll never question Winky for refusing to fight for more money.

    /sarcasm off

this is a bad fight for winky..hes not gonna look good against a volume puncher..hes older, slower and at this point his only real weapon is a jab..as far as the quintana fight...although carlos was the smaller man he had the reach advantage and threw punches from akward angles..Winky fights very straight down the middle..something we havent seen PW struggle with at all..PW by UD

I dont think I believe that report based on the fact that HBO is pushing for Winky vs Taylor II....Plus as I have stated many times G. L--n is a fukking moron and is maybe the biggest joke in the boxing media.

50-50 is a very fair split.

Williams is hot and Winky hasn't fought in 20+ months.

Winky wasted a lot of what he worked so hard to get.

What weight where they talking about fighting at? 54 or 60?

Winky can be a bit on the boring side but I think turns into a good one.
