Williams wants more than 1.5 million to fight Pavlik.

Goosen made a concerted effort in Oakland though. With Paul Williams he's like "**** it those hillbillies don't deserve boxing!"

If Jermain Taylor can do big business in Arkansas and Memphis, Why can't Williams sell out in Georgia? It's stupid. It's like they have no interest in trying.

 

It's like he is trying to drive up Pdub's marketability through scarcity.

 

I think he's hoping on word of mouth and urban legend.

I find it more than bit ironic that Sergio Mora is jumping up and down, throwing a kanipshun fit, and all he wants is the fight he was promised. He hasn't said jack about money. But with Goosen/Williams it's all about the money not the fight itself.

Williams and his team should learn to make a half step backward move and two steps forward move to get his career moving.

If he's challenging Pavlik . . . he shouldn't ask for unreasoable amounts. Make this his sacrifice fight then if he wins . . . he can start dictating his purse as a title holder.

No matter what he and his team says . . . at the end of the day . . . Pavlik is a linear Champ and a ring belt holder and has figured out in PPV fights already.
