Paul Williams had a crowd pleasing style good attitude and best of all he ducked nobody this guy time and time again faced guys nobody wanted to face

    Lara
    Margarito
    Martinez
    Quintana

Guy was fighting anybody from 147-160 was about to take on Pavlik too at a time where it seemed like suicide with Pavlik's punching power and Williams skinny frame. Before the accident he was going to take on Alvarez

Now I see guys that nobody seems to intrigued to fight like Pirog, Thurman & GGG I honestly think if Williams was around he would have fought either one of those three or if not both big ups to Pwill get well

So what is everyone's favorite Pwill moment? mines would have to be his fight with Margarito

Wish he would have been more classy and given Lara his props for winning. Instead he said he thought he had won. When it's that blatant, you get more respect for giving the other guy his props.

I actually wanted him to beat Sexy Sergio first time around and I feel he beat him by 1 point, but became a fan of Sergio that night too. Pwilly would of beaten Floyd that night. That was Pwilly at his finest. Helluva warrior. Akuna matata!

I would have loved to see a floyd vs pwill matchup. Pwill was nearly 6'2 and a southpaw, 79 reach so that's 6'7 god damn.

The Quintana rematch was my favorite Paul Williams moment. Such a surprise, but really cool to see.

I always thought he'd give Mayweather big problems, too. Williams took numerous clean shots from a loaded gloves (probably) Margarito, so even Floyd's clean counters wouldn't hurt him, I think. And that reach advantage ...

He had his holes as a fighter but was great entertainment. Hope he's recovering well.

Canelo-Williams would have been a war. I love his middleweight debut against Andy Kolle I believe. Beautiful KO.

The Margarito fight for me,he was the underdog and totally took Margarito to school. He was definately "the punisher" that night.

so, many, moments. so many stick out. since it hasn't been mentioned yet, did you guys see his fight against santos pakau? he lived up to the "punisher" moniker on that night. HE DID NOT STOP BEATING HIM SENSELESS.

The first Martinez fight, what a fight they both landed hard shots on eachother all night and both went down but kept fighting, was an amazing fight

Dude would AVERAGE 100+ punches per round. The best part was his humble personality outside the ring.

    God bless you Paul!

His spine was scarred, so hopefully if some Asian American researchers get their shitt together he will be walking again, and although that's short of the ring, it's still more than enough for a fan.

This a hilarious head shaking thread. When he was active, he was an overrated over-hyped bum on the ESB forum. It's amazing that something tragic has to happen to a fighter for ESB posters to have a "moment of clarity" about how good a fighter he actually was.

    SMDH!!!
