Williams will be avoided at 147

    If Williams continues to improve his defense and not throw so many meaningless punches and sits on them like he did against Carlos no one will fight him at 147 except Margo because of revenge. The man has a great workrate, unlimited stamina a great chin and his size is too much for most at 147. He can fight on the inside which is surprising for a man as tall and as long as Williams is. I just don't see Arum allowing Cotto to face a guy like Williams who is simply to much of a risk because he's not an Arum fighter. Who else at 147 can beat him or better yet fight him? IMO he'll eventually have to move up because I just don't see how he will get fights at 147.

    I don't know, he's very beatable. I'd pick Berto to beat him.

    This is the type of fight (Williams) I would love to throw Floyd in...
    I'm not much invested into either as a fan, and it would be a great clash of styles. But i defo agree with You Pimp, Willams looked pretty danm! good on Sat.

    Cotto might not avoid him, but Arum is the one that picks who Cotto will be fighting everytime, but I seriously doubt they will duck Williams.

    I have to agree with pimp c ... I think its going to be hard to find someone willing to fight this guy outside of Margarito ... they may come up with excuses and bull**** and avoid the fight period.

    I agree. I would have loved to see a defensive counter-puncher like PBF in there with a monster like Williams.

    I have been saying this for a while - Although I still think he needs to work on his distance fighting, Williams is to much of a risk for him to make any kind of money at 147 - He will end up moving up in weight very soon, and possibly grab a belt in 2009 (MW maybe....?)

    Williams is going to have to be fighting mandatories till someone either the fighters or promoters get enough nuts ...

    Mosley would get knocked out by Williams ... i'm not hyping this guy up but Mosley denied Margarito of a shot ... I doubt seeing Williams willingly fight Margarito and beat him and then take out a guy like Quintana faster than Cotto did ... its going to cause some hesitation on the parts of other fighters and promoters.

    Mosley's at the end of his rope and can't fight a young energetic guy like Williams ... the pace would be too much for Mosley ... Mosley is looking for a safe bet ...

    Anyone outside of DLH has a great chance of beat Mosley ...

    I agree with you. Williams is a complete fighter and is still improving. I would favor him over any current welter right now. Shane and Cotto is pretty overated.

    Williams is too much for Molesy who always struggled with tall fighters like Winky and Forrest. I see Williams outworking Mosley to a UD win.

    hey guys what about an ODH fight?
    both are tall quick fighters and im sure Paul wouldnt mind gaining some extra pounds. I think Oscar would counter with the left jab all night long and finish him with a flurry of punches ala Mayorga/Vargas...
