i several much better guys at 154 - and I really don't think his pop would carry over at all to 160 or higher

I still think PW can have a fine career - just depends on what he learns and how he grows from this loss.

Its funny i personally hate cory spinks(and i'm from St. Louis, hahaha).....but i think he'd make PW look bad. Very very awkwardly BAD. Would be a typical very boring cory fight, but still pw wouldn't have a chance at 154

Also a few more names to throw in with the 5 fighters already named:
James Kirkland - I think his southpaw style would give PW issues, plus kirklands 154 power is a hell of a lot higher than PW's freakish 147

 

I agree. The fight was closer than some people think. People need to show a little respect before writing a fighter off after a single loss. Give PW a chance, FFS.

Agreed. DLH too. I haven't seen much of the other 154 guys so I'm not so sure about them.

 

He needs to leave 147 maybe goto 154 ..He needs to fight more seasoned fighters ..Get some solid rds in agaisnt slick boxers ! Man he's lucky he never fought Floyd it would have been a repeat of the Corrales fight !!

 

Unknowledgable fans throw the word bum around too freely. Quintana is not a bum, his only loss is to Cotto and he showed that he has very good boxing skills against Williams.

 

Yea, CQ was a stylistic nightmare for PW. He is by no means a bum, a very gifted, slick, hard to find southpaw.

 

I hate to say it but hes right. Spinks would take him to school.

 

I cant see PW beating the any of the present WW title holders.
Its funny when most people on here overlooked Quintana. I got called a hater because i said Quintana had the tools to beat PW.
I woulda loved to see what Cintron would have done to PW had they fought last saturday. People actually believed he was gonna TKO Cintron in the late rounds. I think Cintron would have KOd PW in the early rounds actually.
He is an ok fighter but he is in a division where the talent level is too high and wont be taking any titles anytime soon.
