Williams willing to return to Welterweight?

    In a recent interview, the Punisher claims that he basically fights at all divisions. He said that he is willing to come back to 147 if he can get a fight with Clottey, Cotto, or Mosley. Mosley doesn't seem to be interested in fighting Williams and Arum won't put Cotto in there with him. His only shot is to hope Clottey beats Cotto and Shane fights the Pac/Hatton winner. Clottey claims he wants to fight Williams. The winner of that fight would be in a great position to fight Mosley. However, if Cotto beats Clottey, then Williams probably won't get any big fights at 147. Luckily, the JMW divisions seems to be heating up. Who doesn't want to see Williams/Martinez, or Williams/Kirkland, or Williams/Dzindziruk, or Williams/Santos, or even Williams/Forrest?

    Sounds good but 160 needs some more good fighters so he should stay ther if he beats Winky...

    I think 160, overall, is a crap division right about now. A fight with Pavlik would generate a lot of interest. Outside of that, Williams woud be best served to fight at JMW or WW.

    i agree with damn near everything you said...if clottey doesnt win there doesnt seem to be much of a reason for him to cut weight back down to WW. on top of that i think he could do a lot of damage at jmw and i would love to see all those matchups. and on top of that, once pav and aa leave mw for smw (b/c both of them will eventually) he could do some damage there as well, assuming he holds up well against winky. its gonna be real interesting to see where his career takes him

    Williams vs Pavlik over Pavlik vs Mora anyday...I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about how that fight will probably actually happen.

    why again did arum decide to have pav fight bhop instead of williams?? wasnt that fight close to being made?

    well hopefully if pav stays at mw long enough the fight will happen regardless.

    if williams beats winky...i can see arum trying to make a pav williams fight instead of a fight with abraham.

    If Williams really goes back down to 147 and beats either of the title holders i will give him a whole shitload of credit.

    Also if he beats either Santos, Dzinziruk, Abraham, or Pavlik.


    Decent fighters i wanna see him in with are Martinez and Sturm.

    Williams should fight where ever he feels comfortable. 160 doesn't NEED anything:dead.
