Seriously, I never even looked at this guy until now, thinking it was just another Aussie guy who was going to get a padded record before being exposed. This guy is the real deal, and can certainly fight. I can't remember seeing a fighter with this much natural speed and ability. The way he double up left hooks, switches stance, and throws LIGHTNING combinations is quite simply unbelievable. He could very well IMO not just go on to be a champ, but an extremely good one. Obviously he still has a way to go, and i would love to see him get tested more now against tougher fighters, but he is impressive regardless.

Here is some footage for those who haven't seen him. He fights at super light weight, which would put him against guys like : Juan Diaz, Joel Casamayor and Michael Katsidis. Obviously it is far to early to predict how he would far in such fights, but I think with work he could go on to become a Massive force within the division. Here is the perfect example IMO of a fighter that would benefit ten fold by learning from guys like Roy and Leanord, and sparring the best fighters available. Anyone know who is training him right now?

    Enjoy:good

Roy Jones stuff is a bit much, lets see when he gets hit first before we make these sort comparsions, But he has alot of natural talent,Especially in the area's that can't be learnt in the GYM, Speed with hand and foot.

Thats the comparison I was making mate, natural talent only and it was supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek, not judging on making it effective either. The point is that the guys speed and power seem f*cking awesome. He has as much natural talent as any other guy in boxing right now IMO. Making it work for him will be a different story though. Look at Zab Judah for example. An absolute abundance of natural talent, but doesn't have the mentality to back it up. And even then he would be 3 times the technical fighter that Kickett is at this stage. All I am saying is that purely on speed, reflexes and ability to adapt in the ring he is extremely impressive. Watching him reminds me of guys like Dawson, Judah, Mayweather ect in their earlier fights, with the way he moves and puts his punches together.

And those guys all had much better amatuer pedigrees. As far as natural ability goes Kickett is one in a million. Definitely a chance to go on to do great things.

Paul Briggs mentioned a fight between Kickett and Lenny Zappa could be on the cards, Kickett would obliterate Zappa in very quick time. I believe Kickett is better that Mundine and that is very high praise

Yeah Craig's doing a wonderful job with Willie at the moment.
His next fight should be on the Danny Green undercard against tough former world title challenger at featherweight Tommy Browne.
They are moving Willie along quite nicely & he gets tonnes of great sparring with Chris John.
I have been highly impressed with what i have seen. Especially in regards to his handspeed & footwork.
Having seen him train & fight in the amatuers also, he has come on leaps & bounds no doubt.

IMO he stops Zappa early if they fight, but im probably just a biased sandgroper.:yep

What do you guys think of his power?

What weight division do you see him boxing at in his prime?

    Cheers in advance.

His power is solid, but he is still only 20 years old.
Great movement, technique, speed & i feel in his prime he boxes at Lightweight, but he can also fight at Super Featherweight for a big part of his younger years.

He has weighed in once or twice at 140 because he took the fights on couple days notice just for experience.

All my uploads i see lol But do Agree to some level but Roy and him will be totally different in time. I do believe he has a long future in the sport if he keeps a level head and just steps up after each win.

Roy was far better technically although most will never appreciate how good Roy was in this regard. TO be honest mate it was just something to grab attention nothing more, but he does possess and abundance of natural talent, and I am VERY VERY impressed.

I said this from the second i saw him throw his first punch. The bloke is the most naturally talented fighter in this country by far. Mundine aint got nothing on this bloke as far as talent is concerned.

Coooool Willie Kickett - mark me down as a future nuthugger :deal

He's got talent thats for sure. still too early to say whether he'll be a future champion, let alone reign divisions. I only saw him fight once prior to seeing some of these clips, and going by the last few, he seems to have moved along well.
