Hoax phone call almost cost me title bout with Morales, admit Willie Limond Jul 6 2010 WILLIE Limond says a cruel hoax left him fearing his dream world title fight with hero Erik Morales was off. The Glasgow lightweight star - who has won his last five fights after being stopped by Amir Khan in 2007 - was told the September super-fight had been pulled. But after frantic phone calls over the weekend a relieved Limond discovered there was no truth to the rumours. Limond said: "I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I also heard Morales hadn't even heard of me but thankfully that's all rubbish. "I'm glad it is now sorted out. The fight is still on and I am training fully for this." Morales is a three-weight world champion but Limond has vowed to make a name for himself. He added: "I've always liked Morales and I'd give anything to watch him fight. "To share a ring with him would be a dream come true. But I am not going there just to make up the numbers." just read this why would someone be so mean lol
ughh...willie limond? this is going to look like Zahir Raheem again for Morales. Btw what title is he talking about?
I've got love for my fellow Scotsman but if I thought a hoax call would stop this fight, I'd have run up a substantial phone bill. Morales is one of my favourite fighters ever and the prospect of him fighting Limond just feels ... wrong.
i think its light welterweight and maybe the wbc will bring in the oh so brillaint SILVER TITLE!!!! woot
