I know, its all went painfully quiet on the Willie Limond front. Hopefully Willies bruv will be reading, & tell us whats happening.

Don't think so, mate; in fact, had it not been for the very patient and helpful ref, it would have been called a KO...he didn't get up in time...sorry...but technically, Willie did enough to beat Khan.

    Damn right, glad someone remembers.

He was down to fight on the AAA bill last Dec, was there any reason given why he pulled out?

what are you talking about?, limond burst his ear drum during the fight thats why he retired (from the fight), khan took alot more of a beating than willie (remember the 13 sec count). Any way expect a bit of willie news in the press in the next few week's and he's def not retired.

I assumed he was still recovering from the injuries he sustained.

Did he suffer a broken jaw/cheekbone as first thought?

Eitherway a burst eardrum will take a while to fully heal I'd imagine.

exactly, he burst his eardrum which was the main reason the fight was stopped.
The fight was close, ond on a level playing field and a neutral ref Willie woulda been give the win by KO. I still believe he won the fight.
Lets see if Khan gives him a rematch....but they probably don't want someone who hits as hard as Limond.

Come on boys take your tartan tinted glasses off the right man won that night. Khan was hurt but he recovered very well and was well in charge at the end. Good luck to Willie though like to see him in with Thaxton if Khan keeps bottling it!

no willie only burst his ear drum during the khan fight. He was ment to fight in dec but warren's politics but stop to that, it will suit warren and khan if willie would just slip out of the boxing scene so everyone would forget about that kd and 13 sec count, but its not gonna happen!!!
